Review Notes: got one of these in a sampler pack. Very nice construction, good draw and even burn. medium bodied with a slightly sweet cedary flavor. An all around good smoke. I actually enjoyed this more than the Gurkha I received in the same bundle.

Review Notes: Wow. i aged this for 18 months in a 500 ct. and it is by far the most beautiful connecticut wrapper i have seen to date. Im as shocked as you. i think of Fonseca as almost Macanudo and Puros Indios (not a fan of either...) but this one was special. after a yr and a half it is pouring oil out everywhere. it has 2 perfect central viens and a texture that makes you want to rub your fingers together. im talking the full experiance here, all the senses were touched. in the end its light tea and honey like flavor make this impossibl not to like. if your bummed, age the rest :)

Review Notes: I have been smoking these since the start, and while they are of course no Ashton, Padron, etc, they are a great NC for the prices I get them for. Very mellow but I have always gotten very pleace flavors throughout the smoke. Like it has been said, great for the morning, or for any one new to smokes.

"Aging produces a fine morning cigar."

Review Notes: This had been in the box for at least 2 years. Wrapper was the lightest I have ever seen. The flavor started out light and citrusy and eventually moved to some cedar and earth. I thoroughly enjoyed this with the morning paper and a cup of coffee. Burn and draw were top notch. If you like your sticks full you should pass on these. I find that Fonseca's in general are in desperate need of plenty of aging. I usually don't smoke mine until they have been aged at least a year. If you are in a hurry this brand is probably not for you. I'll enter $3 for PP.

"Disappointment again"

Review Notes: I have been smoking a lot of different smokes in the past few weeks to expand my cigar knowledge. I picked this one up as it is a name I had often seen but had never smoked. I probably won't smoke another, not due to being unpleasant so much, but this just isn't my type of smoke. The cigar is the epitome of cigar- pale Conneticut wrapper, classic shape, length, and ring gauge, almost cartoonlike in appearance. The cigar I pulled had a couple of prominent veins in the wrapper. After cutting the end, the pre-light was non-eventful. Neither the wrapper nor the filler had any distinct aroma or flavor. I toasted and lit the cigar very easily. Immediately I tasted bitter dirt, maybe a little leather, and a sour after-taste. This cigar is everything I hate about cigars, honestly. Dry, bitter, sour, and no particular flavor to speak of, just distinct characteristics. The flavor never changed, so I guess it was consistent, anyway. A faint spiciness appeared about 1/2 into the cigar. I was bored to death with this cigar and tossed it about 1/2 into the smoke. It didn't make me gag or wince, the cigar was just very boring and one-dimensional. I have smoked far better cigars for about $2. Mild bodied, medium smoke volume, razor sharp burn, and boring. I am beginning to think that a Conneticut wrapped cigar is just not for me. I want something that is more mello, darker and richer, even for a smoke in the morning. A waste of 40 minutes and $4. I hesitate to deem a cigar worthless, as there are some people who like this cigar below. I didn't like it and would not even accept another one to save someone's feelings. I would probably wince if someone presented one as a gift, to be honest. I know I wouldn't be smoking that dog rocket.
