Review Notes: Smokin Mormon nailed this one, except I found my samples to have better construction. The CT shade wrapper on this baby is top notch, sweet and aromatic. The Mexican binder gives it an earthy touch. Construction on the sticks I got was perfect -- generous draw and an even burn. It's a very mild cigar, but tasty. Especially good when enjoyed in the chicken coop on a Sunday morning.

"Sacrement Behind the Coop"

Review Notes: I lit this one and went and hunkered down behind the chicken coop. Hiding from the brethren trying to get me out to church. Much better hour behind the coop puffing this one with Brigham the Rooster eying me than at church. The flavor excelled above all other aspects of this one. Tasted nice and toasted, creamy with plenty of spice, mellow cocoa hints near the nub. It insisted on burning faster on one side than the other; I had to help it along a few times. I can put up with burn issues so long as the flavor is worthwhile. This one was mild but it was in the a.m. so it was perfect.

"Poor burn, good flavor"

Review Notes: It's a pity-I would hae liked to enjoyed this cigar more, but construction problems prevented me from doing so. It lit well, it drew well, and after a half inch the burn went way out of balance and left a shelf of unburned tobacco that lasted the whole way to the end. The flavor was nice, but the burn problems annoyed me.

Review Notes: Good looking with solid construction and a great burn. This is a nice light smoke. Great for the AM and also new cigar smokers. Toasty and very smooth with lots of cedar and some other woody flavors mixed in there.

Review Notes: Turns out I reviewed this cigar in July of '04. The one I'm smoking now has been resting due to the fact that I didn't care for the first. Upon lighting I got a nice burst of cream mixed with that typical D.R. sharpness. I had hoped the sharpness would have mellowed in the past 13 months but is still very prominent. Going into the second inch the cream reappears and it does mellow a little. Burns and looks like a cigar ad, light silver ash holding well into the second inch and very sharp. I get no hint of sweetness and the strength is good for morning coffee on an empty stomach. No bitterness now, aging took care of that, and aesthetically beautiful it just doesn't deliver for me.
