"Rough Look...Smooth Falvor"

Review Notes: Shows off a bumpy, rough and veiny wrapper with a rusty brown color. Had a very solid and heavy feel to the touch. Initial draw was slightly tight with some effort needed for the first 1/3rd getting a good amount of smoke. After that no burn problems at all. Taste was cramy smooth and flavorful albeit on the milder side. Hints of various aromatic spices (cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamon coming to mind), cocoa, leather and fresh brewed dark coffee. Flavor remained smooth and satisfying right down to the nub. Went great with the Lagunitas Gnarleywine I was teaming it up with. A pleasant and enjoyable 90 min smoke.

"#1"

Review Notes: I've been enjoying my third or fourth 5pack of this particular stick from Cbid. It's become one of my go to smokes along with the Camacho Corojo, although they are 2 very different smokes. See my comments below on the Black Prince size. The same basically holds true for the #1 size - sort of a fat Churchill - but with a bit more flavor thanks to the larger ring gauge. I've also picked up a bit of sweetness and occasionally a hint of a fruit-like flavor. Sounds odd, but it blends well and the fruit stays well in the backround. The creaminess and spice (sort of like a light nutmeg maybe?) are still the predominent flavors.

"Flavorful Fonseca"

Review Notes: I've smoked a few of the Black Prince version (8 3/4" x 48), but since there's no listing yet for this one, I'll review it here in the #1 section. Starts off as a nice, more flavorful Fonseca - creamy and smooth with hints of espresso and soft spice. It builds steadily and predictably ending with a medium-full body, but always smooth. Construction is very good. The wrapper won't win any awards for beauty, but it's not an eyesore by any means. This is a great smoke, but even better given the reasonable price. I can't resist pairing it with a glass of Fonseca Bin 27 ruby port. The Habana Seleccion has enough flavor to hang with this sweet port and will surprise some smokers.

"Great for a Fonseca"

Review Notes: I really enjoyed this smoke, which lasted nearly two hours. Construction is better then average with a medium bodiedness. It did get bitter with the last quater or so. I would like to age the rest I have and give another test drive in a few months.

"First try well...."

Review Notes: Not as good as the Delicias flavor wise. Stronger but a little harsh. Disappointed after smoking others in the line. Still I am hoping time will help, may have been a little dry when I tried this one a month or so ago.
