"Not a lost cause..Not bad for the money"

Review Notes: Well..after reading the posts about this cigar on here, I figured I had to try it. Bought 10 from cigarbid and I must say for the price it's not that bad. At the start, only being in a newly prepared humidor for 2 days, I noticed that the construction wasn't top notch. Now, paying what I paid for these I wasn't too worried seeing that I knew they're not the top of the heap but maybe just a good smoke. The cigar was soft toward the toasting end and became more like regular cigar thickness in construction towards the cap. The appearance of this cigar is average at best but still this did not stop me from trying it. At first drags, the cigar was very leathery and not that satisfying. Still had my hopes that it would not be a bad stogie. Then, to my surprise and joy, the cigar started to get A LOT better. Tasted less leathery (although still present) and started to remind me of a standard Dominican Fonseca. VERY PLEASING. Towards the end of the cigar, taste became buttery (YUMM) like the La Vieja Habana Cedar Chateau #3 (a good smoke). The flavor at this point (about half way through the smoke) was surprising and just delightful. I smoked it all the way to the end and ditched it when the burn became too hot. Overall, I think this is a good plain cigar and for the money is a good value. I would describe it as a non maduro wrapper La Vieja Habana Cedar Chateau #3 (see reviews for the cigar here if you're interested). Overall, I would buy again but not on a regular basis like I do with the La Vieja Habana. Looking past the construction and flavor when you first start the smoke (only for about the first 1/2 inch) this smoke is good for the average cigar.

"Not bad"

Review Notes: This cigar has loads of flavor for the cost. I'm currently smoking my third in two days and can say that I don't regret purchasing a bundle. The cigar is attractive and feels good before lighting. The draw is good and the tobacco flavor intensifies as you progress. Smoke is plentiful but it burns a little hot toward the end. If a good opportunity arises these will find their way into my humidor again. However, for the money I prefer the Torano Dominco Churchill as an everyday smoke.
