"Good $5 cigar that cost $15"

Review Notes: Bought a three pack of these. The box was a cheesy red paper thing..not impressed. The cigar itself is average looking, slightly veiny, dark wrapper.Upon lighting, the draw was average to tight, but manageable.Immediate flavors of earth/leather/wood. A slight bitterness on the tongue. Good smoke quantity.Good pace. Strenghened up half way...including the bitterness. Strangely, the bitterness went away about the 2/3 point, and had a decent finish. This was a good $5 cigar..unfortunately,I paid $15 for the privilege to smoke one. Way too much,in my opinion.

"Overpriced"

Review Notes: These are overpriced. A really good smoke but not worth the money. There are plenty of cheaper cigars that are just as good or better.

"My first God of Fire"

Review Notes: I bought a box of 10 of the 2006 edition with the free Prometheus ashtray promotion. The ashtry is really nice (not sure I'd pay the $60 retail but a nice touch). The firs half cigar was incredibly mild. I was searching for the "wow" factor flavor but it never came. The third quarter of the smoke was definitely better and the last quarter to the nub got a bit strong, not nearly as good as a Padron 64 or 26. I'm going to store these in my new Aristocrat Humi for awhile. The red box is sure pretty but I must say I was not pleased overall with the first smoke.

"Expected more"

Review Notes: Bought a box of 10 2006 edition with the promotional ash tray (which was really nice). The first half cigar was very mild almost too much so with little flavor. My favorite cigar is the Padron 26 line which is loaded with flavor at the same price point. The second half of the cigar was a bit better with a little more flavor. The last 1 1/2 inch nub was disappointing as it became strong unlike the Padrons which can be smoked to the finger tips. I'm going to keep the remaining box of 9 in my new Aristocrat Humi and perhaps that will improve them though they are already aged 2 years.

"Great smoke, but you have to pay for it"

Review Notes: Gorgeous wrapper. Strong cedar taste with a roasted flavor in the middle. Even burn with no re-lights. This is truly one of the great cigars, unfortunately unless you rob a bank, these can't be consistently enjoyed. These days I'm more impressed with phenomenal tasting cigars at a minimal price, and God of Fire only supports the former. Still, if you're rockafeller, stock up and smoke a couple for me.
