Review Notes:
This is a top shelf smoke! Beautiful draw everytime, looked good out of the box and even better after settling in the humidor.

Review Notes:
That sums up this cigar to a T. It's not the best tasting cigar, but it's certainly in the very good range. Smooth and creamy with a bit of bite. But what really makes this cigar stand out is it's price. At less than $3/cigar for the Toro size (which they call Gran Robusto), it's hard to beat.
The only drawback I've noticed with these is the ash. It's never white, always a kind of dirty black/grey and won't hold. I have to routinely tap the ash off within the first inch or I invariably end up wearing it (or hand vaccing it out of my keyboard).
But that's a very minor knock given the taste.
Again, I store these at or under 65% RH. I did smoke one right off the truck (when it was a bit too moist), it wasn't as pleasant: burn/draw issues and the flavor was muted with a bit of harshness.

Review Notes:
Don't get me wrong, I like these alot, and they are an outstanding bargain. But they are NOT a "10" as some have reviewed them, not equal to a Padron 1964, Fuente Opus, or Ashton VSG. A great everyday smoke for the full-bodied crowd!

Review Notes:
It may have been the prelight aroma that gave me high expectations for this cigar, but whatever the reason, I was disappointed by the flavor profile. Upfront, I was hit by a heavy flavor of salt. I was expecting more of a sweet and spicy balance with this cigar but, throughout, there was nothing more than a dry saltiness. I did have to correct the burn three times but the draw and volume of smoke were great. The cigar had months of time to rest in my humi, so perhaps I would have better enjoyed the unsettled flavor of a youthful #5 described here by a few reviewers. Despite the strange flavor, I smoked the cigar nearly to the nub. Weighing out all the features of the cigar, I'm sure the majority of smokers will have better luck with this label. I will try this cigar again to confirm if I just had an odd stick.

Review Notes:
Fine medium bodied cigar with a fantastic price tag. The burn was obstinate and uncooperative, but the flavor came through despite frequently required corrections. Not as funky as some of the other sizes, just smooth leather and earth with a sweetish overtone. For the money this is at the top of its class. A very attractive wrapper and triple cap seals the deal.
