Review Notes: Handsome reddish brown Nicaraguan wrapper. Nice prelight aroma to this well aged (year plus) stick. Cigar felt heavy. Started peppery but moved to a richer, sweeter molasses type spice. Stayed basically there but had some coffee, earth, and dark chocolate notes. Mostly smooth but I did have a few harsh moments within the 2 hour experience. As billed, mostly medium in overall body but sometimes flashed to full. Burn was a bit uneven (typical for me with churchills) and this stick went out 3 times. Upon relighting this stick it continued tasting mostly fine. As with the other Gran Habano's I've tried (G.H. #1 & 5... both very nice) the draw was perfect with tons of thick smoke. At $3-ish a throw this is a no-brainer must try. For the overall value, taste, and quality within their brands other manufacturers should try copying whatever Gran Habano is currently doing in the cigar industry.

Review Notes: DG raved about these and ended up giving one to me. He bought as many boxes as he could find on the IN and I got one cigar... oh well. I really liked these, as I like milder cigars. It was consistant through and through. I'd buy a box...if my Dad hadn't cornered the market.

Review Notes: Scored a box @ auction for $1.60 a stick. Beat that deal on an above average smoke that will age beautifully and you have done something. I am as pleased with the #5s & #3s as I was disappointed with the #1s. Burn and ash are mediocre but the appearance and taste is very good.

Review Notes: I bought a sampler pack of all three #1, #3, & #5 last year. Finally got around to trying one the #3. It aged well and was full of flavor, very enjoyable. The burn and draw were normal, with no problems. Nice smoke with coffee and a paper in the afternoon.

"Keep In Mind"

Review Notes: This is an economical cigar that you should age. Expect burn issues but this cigar allows you to correct them with the proper draw, rotation, and conditions. I would not take this out on the boat or on the golf course. (Wind Killer) It is mild, with an agruement for medium due to the subtle spice flavors. It gets nutty towards the end but the short finish throughout allows you to enjoy your favorite drink while smoking. Lush draw produces clouds of smoke.
