Review Notes:
Well of course I, as many, can get swept away in fads. There is no doubt that much of what Gurkha does and makes is faddish. Don't get me wrong, Gurkha makes some good cigars, but it is a brand that lives more on internet lore sometimes, than solid performance. I found the Masters Select a flimsy effort, at best. Gurkha is not known for its delicious flavor profile, and this cigar did not change this reputation for me. I found the draw good, the construction adequate, but it lacked complexity and did little for my curiosity. I believe this is the classic cigar that profits from "that site's", well, should we say, sometimes over the top reviews of fairly average cigars. A great cite for us consumers, just take the "reviews" with a large salt slab. This was an OK cigar but I think there are many other, lesser known brands (on "that" site), that deserve more accolades. Don't get swept in to the Gurkha lore, as you will find out this is by no means, "the rolls royce of cigars." Think more a nice steady Honda Accord...the ones made in Mexico that is.
