"Aging helps...."

Review Notes: My 2nd review. After some early issues with construction, I let the rest set for 6 months in the 'dor. This has improved them greatly and brought out more of the oil and taste. On the mild side of medium-bodied. Not a bad cigar to keep in the rotation.

"Cigar with real class!"

Review Notes: Perhaps some smokers just don't care, but I for one was delighted with the classic perfecto shape of this cigar. It certainly looks like a Cuban perfecto like you might see in classic film noir. Of course, that alone wouldn't sell this smoke, but it delivers flavor in rare form. Amazingly, it actually tastes Cuban! Sure, a thousand cigars make the claim, but this one delivers. Medium to full body, definitely full spice, and wonderfully productive smoke. This shape is notoriously hard to roll, but the construction is top shelf. No runs, no tunnel burn, no unraveling (come on now, you can expect issues with any cigar if you smoke it in the car). I've smoked an entire box of these and I never once had a construction problem. Cigar practically lights itself due to the shape, and the breadth of the smoke increases halfway through providing extra aeration for the peak of flavor. The last half and nub leave you craving more, as all the spice really comes out but never becomes bogged down in oiliness. If you want a top notch cigar with a Cuban experience, not to mention a touch of class in appearance hardly ever seen today, this is your smoke. Can you tell this is one of my favorite cigars?

"A fine perfecto"

Review Notes: Almost identical in every respect to the smaller no.2 that I reviewed earlier: This cigar burned very smooth and very clean, with no hints of harshness or bitterness ever. The light was a bit slow as expected, but it was very cleanly toasty with a Cubanesque Cuaba flavor. At around the midpoint it added some spicy and earthy bits, and kept those to the nubby end. Probably the closest to a Cuaba that I have found, but with a bit more strength. Medium in body at the peak.

"Construction issues...."

Review Notes: Made the mistake of smoking this in the car. About 1/2 way through, the wrapper unraveled. The cigar started off fine, but progressively got worse. I would call it mild-medium bodied and burned very quickly.

"Not bad"

Review Notes: Don't have much experience with this shape, so it was an interesting change. Taste was good; fairly spicy. Draw started kind of tough, but loosened up as it smoked. About halfway, the wrapper started to flake and peel. The cigar was given to me, and while I'd smoke it again if offered, I wouldn't go out of my way to look for it.
