Review Notes:The Gurkha brand has way too many blends out there to keep track of, and maintain any quality. This one is just plain harsh. Stick with the older Regent and Legend lines.

Review Notes:I bought 5 of these a few months back and tried my first last week. It's probably a good thing I didn't check the reviews or I wouldn't have picked them up. So far so good, I've only tried one and it was very nice. No splitting, nice flavor, not to harsh, tons of smoke, and most importantly, my wife enjoyed the aroma. I hope my remaining four will smoke as well as the first.

Review Notes:I can hardly keep up with all the friggin blends Hansotia is kicking out lately but I put them in two camps damn good or WTF? This was a WTF. I ordered 2 singles (pricey-bad idea) from CI out of curiosity. They were not bad in the flavor department but on the milder side of medium. There some good flavors in there at times but thin smoke and the most delicate wrapper I have seen in years. I was afraid these were going to split open and at times the foot would burn so that the ash split out to the side; weird. I hate to bang a Gurkha but they really need to get their shit together regarding consistency and in this case marketing...Fuerte? My butt. I will keep burning through the Black Puro's like my life depends on it but they can keep this one.

Review Notes:People either love these or hate 'em.
I've had two of these, and that's all I need. Don't bother with them, they're a waste of money. They're not strong, they were weak in the flavor department, everyone complains about them spitting, and the construction on the two I had was generally terrible - one had a vein poking up through the wrapper. These are REALLY oily cigars, so you'd better dry-box them for a day or so before you smoke them, or ages them for a year and let them "even out".
The ash holds pretty firm to the end, the burn is bad (oily cigar effect), and they have a tendancy to go out. There are *some* notes of coffee and chocolate, but by and large I found them to be basically lacking in flavor.
These are expensive sticks. For the most part, they are crap. The only reason why you'd want to buy these is to impress someone.

Review Notes:I think I'm one of the lucky few who has a bundle of these that doesn't split. Overall, these are way more mild that the billing suggests. The last stick I had developed a few varying flavors through the burn and was quite tasty. I think these burn too quickly for their size, but it's a rare occasion that I look for a cigar that actually smokes 2 1/2 hours anyway. This last one smoked 90 minutes.
