Review Notes:
gurkhas have been hit or miss for me, this one was a definite hit. Beuatiful out of the wrapper, pre-light aroma nothing to write home about and it seemed a bit firm. After a couple of puffs reminiscent of a slurping a blizzard through a straw, it loosened up nicely. Flavor-wise was nice, spicy but mild. Mid-way through a couple small cracks occured in the wrapper, but nothing major. Overall, a nice smoke.

Review Notes:
I have been smoking these now for the last three years and they still are going strong. The taste, draw, and burn a very difficult to beat. My only complaint is the the cap tends to dry out and crack while using my punch. My other cigars don't seem to have this problem. I have kept some in my stock now for over three years and they really have stood the test of time. As long as I can get e good punch on one I know the rest will be a pleasure. If you keep them for a while make sure you wet the cap good before you dig your punch in.

Review Notes:
Got a 5 pack of these on cbid. Immediately gave 3 to some friends who I know enjoy maduro cigars and all seemed to like them (or didn't want to make me feel bad). Had one last night and wasn't completely disappointed...or satisfied. Beautiful wrapper, construction, appearance and even nice pre-light aroma. It was just bland and one dimensional. Some toasty flavors, but that's about all. Nothing special about it. Luckily they were cheap on cbid, otherwise, not worth the money.

Review Notes:
To me, this brand is just too overhyped. Fancy packaging and marketing aside, Gurkha's just don't do it for me. I've tried several blends, including three sticks of this kind. All of them were decent smokes at best, with medium strength and smooth, but the flavor never grabbed me. I kept waiting for some complexity to develop, but never happened. The sticks look nice, especially with that obnoxious oversized band on it. Construction is good too, all three had perfect draw. For $10 a stick, I would like something that's smokable straight out of the box without aging, not just an average cigar.
