Review Notes: This cigar was indeed beautiful to hold and look at, with its milky tan wrapper and bottom portion covered en cedro. It was toothy and chewy, supple and oily...felt great in my mouth. It lit and burnt perfectly and the draw was exceptional via bulls-eye punch hole. Tasted cedar and spice right from the beginning. Started to smooth out in the second 1/3, where other wood notes were present...maybe oak, along with the consistent cedar. The finish was also woody. The smoke was of a smooth medium-body and was very balanced throughout. As with the other Gurkhas I've smoked, this one had a pretty one-dimensional flavor pattern...mostly of the woody/cedary variety. I personally like more change and variety in flavor throughout a smoke, but this was still a pleasurable smoke all in all. It way overexceeded the $2.50 value I paid for it. I would definitely not buy these for the MSRP, however.

Review Notes: until now. Pleasant, spicy and tasty. Nice medium brown wrapper that burns pretty well. Firm heavy feel makes you think it would be heavier bodied. Slow burning and well worth the deniro.

"Good stuff"

Review Notes: A very pleasant mild-medium bodied cigar. Attractive cedar-wrapped presentation revealing a milky tan Ecuadorian-Connecticut wrapper with minimal veins. Good construction with no soft spots. Nice prelight aroma and tasty prelight draw. Easy light. Smooth draw. Even burn without the need for correction or relights. Started with nuts and leather, and then eased its way into notes of wood - particularly mild cedar and oak in the first third. These were joined by a citrus note as well as a "bready" character in the middle third. The last third emphasized the cedar, nutty, and bready flavors with a rare intermittent taste of vanilla. All in all, this 1 hour 10 minute smoke was enjoyable and pleasant. Paired well with a mild lager, but would go well as a morning smoke with a cup of coffee, as well.

"Gurkha has another winner!"

Review Notes: The presentation of this cigar is wonderful - cedar wrapped and then when peeled off it has a lovely natural wrapper. The cap was perfect and yielded a nice cut. The draw and burn was even throughout. A medium flavored cigar that is tasty, if not that complex. All in all, a first class cigar. Gurkha continues to put out some of the finest non-Cuban cigars on the market!
