"Very earthy, but that's about all"

Review Notes: I think everyone already hit this one on the nose. I lit the cigar with the cedar sleeve it came with and thought that might have had something to do with the woodsy, earthy tones, but maybe not. Decent cigar, but very one dimensional. Got bored about half way through and just wanted it to end. Also, had some construction issues. The wrapper split pretty bad near the head of the cigar just beyond the cap. It ended up making its way down half the cigar despite my attempts to fix it. Usually Gurkha cigars are close to perfect in the construction dept. so maybe it was just this one.

"Pass on these."

Review Notes: This stick had about 9 months of age on it. It didn't get any better flavor wise compared to the first two I put to fire. The appearance and construction of these are top notch. The flavor here is of a deep earth with some spice. That's it. I keep waiting for some creaminess to creep in and mellow the earth and spice but it doesn't fully get there. You end up getting, as others have noted, "teased" with this cigar. Except for the last few I have left from my 5 pack I am done with these. I paid $3/stick at auction on c-bid. Don't pay full MSRP on these if you want to try them. I think these sticks are destined for fillers in promotional sample packs. Attractive, smokeable, but not much in the flavor department.

"Meh."

Review Notes: Worth MSRP? Hell, no. $3.00? Maybe. Boring flavor that just like BriSan said, made me anxious as I was waiting for it to develop into a creamy texture and flavor, but it just never developed. Burn and construction were great, but for this price, I definitely should have gotten more flavor out of this stick. You can get much better for much cheaper.

"Aging didn't do much."

Review Notes: 75 more days in the "hole" helped burn. Draw needed a poke to open up. Flavor was, at times, a bit harsh on this stick. Specifically there was a peppery-"ness" to this that sometimes didn't hit my palate right and kept me reaching for water to soothe the back of my throat. Other times this stick had a nice full bodied earthiness to it that I found enjoyable. I have been a bit "sinusey" lately. This may be the culprit. Not totally impressed nor disgusted with these yet. Tread catiously. For $3 still a fine value. No way I pay full pop at $6.

"Good Cigar."

Review Notes: Except for an uneven burn this was a good medium bodied cigar. Reviewer "BriSan" writes about being "teased" with this stick. I was too. I was also surprised that this smoke only lasted an hour. Usually this size lasts for about an hour and a half for me. I may have been guilty of smoking this too fast. Pleasant enough aftertaste and finish but i think this has the potential to be even better with aging. Paid $3.00 on c-bid. CI offering them for about $4.50 a stick. Getting these now at this price and aging them may prove to be a brilliant move.
