Review Notes:
bought 10/$30US six months ago. appearance is meticulous construction is very good, burn is less than even but no effect on smoking experience. ash falls off at about 2" flavor starts out peppery but mellows after couple of minutes. seems to me the 54 ring leads to a longer smoke and the big barrel allows for a more complex blend of flavors. wrapper is spicer and less lush than my favorite honduran maduros, but equally pleasant, highly recommended after 6 months; just hope i can keep my paws off the rest for another 6 and see what a year tastes like.

Review Notes:
Last smoked and reviewed this cigar in October 2006. Pulled out a nicely aged cedar wrapped beauty from the same box yesterday, and tested the impact of time. Amazing improvement to the flavor; all grassiness noted in the first review was gone, and it was a spicy, aromatic smoke. The burn was still uneven, and required 4 touchups, but draw was perfect. Higher flavor scores, seemed actually a bit stronger. Very nice smoke, though.

Review Notes:
Short and fat but that is the only negative thing I can say about this cigar. It was excellent in every way, draw, taste, texture, you name it. I have found that you just can't go wrong with the name of Gurkha.

Review Notes:
I don't think I've ever smoked anything from Gurkha that I didn't like, and this smoke is no exception. The flavor profile reminds me of a lot of the Expedition Series Toros I've been smoking on and off for the past years. I can't put my finger on the exact flavor, but it is unique. Almost citrus and wood. For what these and everything else Gurkha go for on Cbid, these are an incredible value.

Review Notes:
Nice appearance and pre-light aroma. Draw was pretty tight, and the burn was a bit uneven, but did not require touch-ups with the lighter. Nice flavor that had hints of chocolate and berries with a dominantly floral tones. This could have been a great cigar had the draw not been so tight. At $3 or so on Cbid, these are a good deal. At MSRP, these aren't worth it.
