Review Notes: BITTER! BITTER!! BITTER!!! If these are vintage smokes, then I am superman...Never before have I experienced such displeasure from a cigar in my life! I tried so hard to like this cigar, because I made the mistake of buying an office jar (of 25) before I tried one (I've had other Upmanns that I'd enjoyed, I've also experienced the cameroon wrappers on other brands that I did like very much)...long story short, I found an office jar at an unbelievably low price (from a respectable source mind you) and bought it with confidence, seeing as how I liked Upmann's other offerings...but now I know why they were so cheap...they smelled great, looked good, but tasted so bad and were rediculously overpowering with nothing but a VERY bitter spice to offer this discriminating palate. I would not recommend these even for scientific testing on monkeys!! (to quote another member; "they'd probably taste better if you stuck 'em up your butt first!"

Review Notes: Can not be beat for the price. Fine H Upman construction and nice cameroon wrapper. Taste like the older H Upman Coronas.

Review Notes: No. 24 in Cigar Aficionado's top 25 cigars of 2004. Like all the cigars in this line it comes nicely presented in a sleeve of cedar with some colorful bands. The cigar itself looks good too with a toothy and lightly veiny wrapper with good oils. It smokes well with a consistently even draw and burn, lots of smoke, and a solid ash that won't let go--i ashed it only twice. It does have a predominantly sweet cedar flavor, but they're also hints of nuts and vanilla. It improves as it's smoked as the woodiness and spice become softer resulting in a very mellow medium-bodied smoke. Some harshness does creep in during the last 2 inches or so. An excellent smoke that's even sold at a reasonable price.

Review Notes: Top quality, and very Cubanish. I haven't thought that highly of a cigar except for the J. L. Salazar y Hermanos. I found this badboy more stout than other reviewers had, which may be due to aging or spot production or whatever. But full flavor, no question. Maybe just start with one out of a sampler like I did to be sure that this one fits your needs, because the one I had was potent! Not harsh, not a disappointment, but potent.

Review Notes: I liked this cigar a lot. I didn't find any overpowering cedar taste, as others have complained. Just a very good cigar, from start to finish. It gets a bit stronger toward trhe end, but never bitter.
