Review Notes:A beautiful cigar, that burned and drew well. However, in a blind tasting I wouldn't have ID'd it as an Upmann. None of the musty tobacco flavors that I associate with H.U. In truth, it has more in common with other EL's than any Upmann vitola I know. Disappointed.
Review Notes:I received this cigar as a club selection from the Canadian Cigar Club. I let it rest for several months and when I couldn't resist temptation any longer I fired it up. This is one good smoke. The construction was excellent, with a perfect draw and great taste. Most of the other reviews go into various descriptions of the flavors of this stick, so I will just say ditto.

Review Notes:Great milk chocolate wrapper, sweet smell. The cigar started with hints of caramel and cocoa, a milk chocolate case that was very sweet and progressed to hints of coffee and more cocoa. As the cigar continued, I hit a pocket of caramel and cherry and then the cigar hit strong tobacco, caramel and mild cocoa flavors. The finish was not as memorable as other smokes I have had. The burn was also uneven, which bothered me. Other than that, It was a good smoke. Age will make it better, but other cigars will age just as well or better

Review Notes:It's too bad you can only give a ten for flavor because this gets an eleven! This is not smoking a cigar, this is a cigar experience. Lots of folks rate cigars on a price x flavor scale, which is helpful when choosing amongst mere mortals; but cigars like these render that rating system irrelevant because the end game should be aroma, flavor and taste. At below 20 bucks, this delivers that on a scale at such a high level that one of these is worth having 3 or 4 of almost anything else: tobacco, toast, coffee, burnt carmel, cocoa, it's all there and with a richness that lingers in the mouth minutes after you puff. A classic and not even one year old!
