Review Notes: 07 was a good year for these. Good draw, an even slow burn, and lots of medium bodied smoke. Starts out fairly mild, with a wood and toasted nut kind of flavor that builds up to an earthy richness. Fantastic honey-like aroma, almost like gingerbread or graham cracker... a very agreeable companion to the wood and earth beneath. Ends with a nice spicy bang. The price makes it an occasional luxury for me, but it's worth the expense.

Review Notes: This is my second Review of this cigar. I have aged several boxes following my initial review of 6/7/2004. The overall flavor of the cigar has improved. It is a complex smoke with the primary flavors of pepper, coffe, and leather. Though initially rough the flavors have melded and now about midway down the cigars there are hints of flowers and earth. The finish of the cegar is a of a sweet cedar which dominates all other flavors. The only problem I have noticed is one of consistency; one out of five burns irregularly and of these half have been bitter witth a poor draw. Otherwise, once I open the box they are regular afternoon and evening smokes.

Review Notes: its a cold ugly day here in the northeast, so i thought to myself, self why not build a fire, make a cup of kona and head over to the humi. good thinkin right? right. for this, i wondered what to smoke and lo behold from the bottom of my humi a few of my magnums screamed out to me, so a 46 it will be. these have been sittin in my humi for bout 6 months and prior to that i believe they were a 06 box date. anyway good choice today, they are comin around nicely, smooth as silk, excellent burn(no touch ups) with the trademark spice. all in all a very enjoyable smoke. my question now, what to smoke after dinner? of course its big brother the #2. cheers.

Review Notes: I had half a box of these from 03 that I split with some friends. Smoked most of them within the first year or two, and was never overly impressed. Smoked the last one, now with almost 5 years of age on it, and it was awesome. Has that great cuban flavor and was incredibly smooth. Probably about an 8 if you smoke it in the first 3 years or so, but much better with age.
