Review Notes:
I live in Vancouver, where Cuban cigars are pricey but readily available. I discovered this cigar about 2 years ago and for te price, it cannot be beat. It's full of classic Cuban tobacco, cedar, leather, nuts, and an uncanny citrus aftertaste that I've found common in mag 50's. Considering that for the price of a siglo 6, you can pick up 2 or 3 of these, I'd say these are a good bet for anyone who wants a classic, good quality cigar for a reasonable price. Aging is always nice to have with any Cuban cigar but these sticks are good to go young as well.

Review Notes:
I have smoked at least five of them from different 2008 boxes and they have all been very good. They look very
nice with a light brown, milk chocolate wrapper with minor
veining. They cut and light nicely with an effortless pre-light
draw of mild spices. After lighting, drawing big mouthfuls of
smoke is very easy and the burn is sharp with a hard, grey
ash. The flavor is smooth and very good too, including mild
spices and honey, a variety of different nuts with a slight
earthy undertone. The body is mild, medium in the last
third. Very good.

Review Notes:
Lit up my second one of the Mag 50's out of a box from 08.
The construction and appearance of these cigars are among the finest of all the Cuban cigars I have had - right in line with Habano's flagship brand, Cohiba. I rated the construction a 9 only because the last one I had was slightly tighter draw than the others I have had. But that is almost the norm with any of Cuban cigar lines these days.
The flavor is what draws me to this particular cigar - cedar, spice, wood, and slight citrus tastes. Very well balanced as well. The flavor profile grows slightly more intense as I smoke the cigar down. But it never overpowers and stays completely balanced.
Strength of the this line is right in the medium range - not as mild at the Monte line, not as strong as the Partagas line. It is a cigar that can be enjoy morning, afternoon, or night.
The burn on these sticks have always been dead on. Never a re-light.
Price for these cigars are a very reasonable for me when considering I enjoy these as much as the Cohibas - and when comparing most of the other popular Cuban brands.
All in all, my favorite Cuban cigar for a night out or an afternoon on the patio in the back yard. I highly recommend this cigar.
