Review Notes:
I smoked my last Robusto a few days ago. I had it resting in one of my humis for over 3 years. It was left over from a 5 pack I had bought from Cigar King. It was even better with some additional years on it. Initial blast of spice and then it settled into a creamy, complex tasty smoke. Well constructed with a perfect draw. The aroma was as pleasant as I remembered it. The first 3rd had some spice, some cream, some leather and some twang. The second 3rd introduced some sweetness and more spice but not overwhelming; it was as if it belonged there. Pepin Garcia supposedly made these in the likeness of the Partagas SD4 but, it isn't, It's got it's own character. I really like these and after not having smoked one in several years, I had to spring for another sampler. They are expensive and so I didnt rate it highly in that category but, I give it all 10's for the rest. A very impressive smoke, reminiscent of Cuban cigars, not an easy thing to do, but Pepin can! I recommend these to anyone.

Review Notes:
This cigar was very strong. It actually turned my stomach a bit. Since I've been smoking and reviewing cigars since the 80's, that kind of reaction is rare.
The flavor was a bit lost in the power, but if you like a good kicking cigar, this is it.

Review Notes:
It's been a few days since I've worshiped at the altar of Pepin, and a couple of months since I've smoked an HL robusto, so here we go... Beautiful, with a perfect triple cap. No touchups necessary this time. Stabilization time has perfected the burn. Since removing these from their cello, they've predictably picked up some additional cedar. Plenty of cocoa on a (too) dry finish. Scant hints of the molasses I found on my first review, but trademark Pepin nuttiness shows itself in the second half. Doesn't compare with the A size from this line, which is one of more stunning sticks I've ever had. This one is merely good for a Pepin.

Review Notes:
Smoked one today right off the FedEx truck, and it burned like a champ. Full draw yielding copious smoke, requiring only minor touchups. I was bracing my tastebuds for a ligero beatdown, but it was quite smooth despite its full body. Straigtforward leather, wood and molasses, in that pecking order. One-dimensional but very, very good. "Eights" across the board, and I assume these will improve once freed from their cello and aged.

Review Notes:
This is a very well made & blended stick. It takes obvious inspiration from the PSD#4 (cool band). This stick has a well-rounded flavor profile with a predominantly sweet woody flavor and a hint of pepper. This is a Med bodied cigar with a long tobacco/spice finish. It's different than your average Nic and worth a try. However, at about $6.00 a pop, it's value is lacking.
