Review Notes: I let this cigar sit for a long time, probably around 10months. It had great flavor, had a beautiful dark wrapper which made me think that it was going to be very strong. The wrappers darkness was misleading because it was not as strong as I thought it was going to be. The draw was much harder than I usually like at first, but lightened up perfectly into the 2/3 of the cigar. I had slight burn problems but I attribute them to me letting it sit for 10 minutes while I changed the baby. Overall a good cigar, and imay get a few more soon. I just wish I could get more smoke out of it.

Review Notes: 106 days humi time. Comes wrapped in an attractive labeled cedar sleeve. Wrapper shows off a deep brown color with some slight veininess. Wrapper seemed a bit delicate with some flaking at the foot upom cutting and a bit of unraveling half way through the smoke. Produced tons of hefty smoke upon lighting. Draw was easy and burn was strong, albeit a bit uneven needing some touch-ups occasionally. Produced a somewaht flaky, but strong gray-black ash. I found this to be a tasty, but medium flavored smoke at most. If you are looking for a full-flavored maddie, this one won't make the grade. Some mild nice notes of cedar, chocolate, nutmeg and charred wood come through and gain a bit of oomph toward the last half of the cigar. Stays very smooth right down to the nub. In the end a nice offering from HDM, just too mild if you're in the mood for a full-flavored smoke.

Review Notes: The consistency and the flavor would bring me back again. Then take into consideration the price paid and this is a great cigar. I have a number of these as a anytime cigar with a flavor that will never disappoint. If you have never had one of these beautie, I suggest you give it a try. You'll enjoy it to the nub!

Review Notes: Impressive presentation in this cedar wrapped, dark brown stick with an oily sheen to the wrapper; the band provides a nice contrast. Lights easily and burns straight. The draw starts tight but puts out a substantial amount of heavy smoke. Complex flavor profile, with a black coffee finish. 1/3 = typical maduro with a bit of sweet spice; 2/3 = chocolate covered cherries; 3/3 = Raisin-bread but it grew hot & sour, and purging didn't help which downgraded my final "flavor" rating (would have been a 9.) Full body, medium strength, a worthwhile buy.

Review Notes: Same Hoyo dressed in new clothes. The Sumatra wrapper lends a different dimension to the familiar Hoyo blend. I'm not sure it's better but it's good. The look is good, the construction, draw and burn are great. If you like Hoyos you should give this one a whirl.
