Review Notes: I've relied on the toros and petit belis for a dependable go to gar for several years now. They're always good and very reasonably priced. This is a first tier smoke disguised as a bargain cigar.

"HIDDEN GEM"

Review Notes: This cigar is a hidden gem for taste and value. A slight uneven burn that was not too bad and did not need correction is more than made up by the wonderful flavor and smooth smoking experience. The taste changes from coffee to wood to chocolate all the while giving a cool smooth smoke. For under $2 a stick how could I complain or want more for an everyday smoke. They do need to rest for a few months. Enjoy.

"A rich indian offering"

Review Notes: Don't be put off by the "Super Fuerte" moniker on this cigar. It was medium bodied and smooth. A beautiful maduro wrapper with a nice box press. This cigar looked dark and delicious with a few slight imperfections. Easy to cut with a good draw, flame on, and we have ample taste right away. Coffee flavor was evident throughout with a sweet nuttiness. The thick maduro wrapper burned a little uneven at times. No touch-ups were necessary. Be careful of the large band when removing it, I noticed a crack developed after taking it off. I really enjoyed this stick with a cup of coffee. A little hesitant after a less than stellar experience with another Rocky Patel product, a 1992 Vintage Toro. This cigar deserves some space in my humidor and might entice me to try another Rocky Patel offering.

"Grade: C+"

Review Notes: I received an email notifying me of a deal on Rocky Patel's Indian Tabac Super Fuerte. As soon as I read up on the cigar I was once again dragged down into the depths of my addiction forced to buy a bundle of twenty. I haven't been burned (excluding my fingertips) by a Rocky Patel yet so its not surprising that my excitement on the arrival of the bundle led me to break them out immediately. The first thing I noticed was the DARK oily wrapper followed shortly by the glistening classy super fuerte label. In admiring the look of the cigar I began to get a few good whiffs of it which forced me to pull out the torch and the cutter and jump right into one. Firstly, its got a great draw and thick white plumes of smoke that smell delicious. My tastebuds were quickly sent into panic mode while they tried to decipher the wall of flavors they were struck by. The complexity is surprising which leaves it a very hard cigar to describe the taste of. You get hints of sweetness as well as chocolate mixed in with a unique earthiness. After the first third of the cigar disappeared into the air hints of expresso came out that only sent my taste buds back into "what the fcuk" mode. I will have to admit it needs to rest a bit though. I could taste the youth of the cigar so I will follow up this review in a few months after I let them age a bit so I wont let that affect my grading that much. The unique flavor I wouldn't call great but its a nice change nonetheless. What caught me off guard other than the flavor was how smooth the cigar was. This is a very smooth maduro that I would consider mild despite the DARK wrapper. The burn was good and the gray ash was solid to the end. My suggestion, go to the nearest cigar shop and buy a Rocky Patel Indian Tabac Super Fuerte. Is it a top tier in my box? Not at all, but its still a nice solid cigar with a UNIQUE flavor.

"No. 1 Go-to"

Review Notes: This and the Toro maduro have quickly become my go-to smokes. Impeccable draw and good taste make for a good smoke in my book. They may not always burn perfectly but if you relax and go easy on em you'll prolly find you wont have to make many corrections. Construction however is good in that they dont ever seem to unravel etc. Can anyone tell me of a bad gar made by Rocky?
