Review Notes:
in the box i tried the first of a five pack. Appearance was nice, oily sheen on maduro wrapper. Lit evenly, but first inch was uneven. I smoke slow, and the rest burned ok. Ash was black and gray and flaky. This cigar is a puzzler to me. I don't believe its a full bodied cigar, but unlike some other reviewers, i think it has a good bit of nicotine. Perhaps this is due to a box press containing more filler tobacco. The flavor is smooth all the way to the end, and i noted the same flinty back taste noted previously by smokehole. The flavor never builds to another level, but the flavor of the sweet maduro wrapper and the fairly strong filler blend is excellent nonetheless. Just a peg below the top-tier maduros but for the cost, highly recommended, especially for those with a taste for something a little different than the rest. will wait another six months or so and try another.

Review Notes:
I think this is a great cigar. First it looks great, box pressed and a very pretty dark maduro wrapper. Prelite aroma is sweet and earthy and draw is nice not to tight or to loose. Taste wise is really why I like this cigar so much I get lots of coffee and earthy flavors from it along with a little spice and tabbaco taste. Lots of people say they get chocolate with these but I dont really get that taste just the coffee. Flavor is pretty consistent throughout the stick so I guess there isn't a lot of complexity but I really like the flavor you do get. I would say its a medium and builds to a full near the end but personally I don't nub these they get to hot and bitter for me.
The only problem with the cigar is burn issues which kills me because I would love to rate it a 9 but almost everyone I have smoked requires more than a few touch ups I dont consider this a deal breaker but it would it is always nice to just relax and smoke an entire cigar. Instead I have to look for the lighter every 15-20 min.
I think the value on this cigar is really great though you can get boxes for around $2.50 a stick from most sites. If you check the speials or go the auction sites you can get them as low as
$1.50 a stick right now I have about 30 sticks which I paid and average of a $1.75 for. For that much it is a great anytime smoke that I dont mind putting down after half an hour (which happens to me all to often).

Review Notes:
A dark, oily wrapper and a pre-light aroma of heavy chocolate made me excited to smoke this. Perfect draw yielded plenty of dry smoke. Wonderfully complex, earthy, the predominant chocolate had some leather and a little spicy note (not pepper--cinnamon?) Softened midway as some cream came forward, and my tawny port brought out a strong woody taste. Unfortunately, I had a ton of burn problems: numerous touch-ups, one relight, and massive tunneling at the band. Would have liked to nub this, but it req'd too much maintenance.

Review Notes:
This cigar has wonderful flavor at the beginning. Coffee and chocolate notes with a good strong tobacco flavor. The rest I don't know! The burn gets so uneven that the flavor profile is destroyed. I have stored these for 5 months at 65% and the three I have smoked have all been so uneven I cannot get through more than half. Very frustrating smoke.

Review Notes:
Just smoked my first one of these and can take it or leave it right now. It had a great, predominantly earthy flavor throughout. What killed me was the construction. After the first 1.5 in, I got up for some coffee and aa bathroom break. When I returned, the damn thing had gone out! I was smoking fairly quickly at this point. After another inch or so, I slowed down considerably and started having serious burn problems. After setting it down for 30 sec-1 min, I had to give it 3 puffs to get it going again. Loved everything else about this smoke, it just had too many burn problems. Will try again after a few months and see what happens.
