Review Notes: I was rotating cigars around my 3 humidors and found a few Salazar toros with yellowed cellophane wrap. They've probably been there for 3+ years. Took one out to enjoy with coffee on a 20 degree day. The cigar was firm through and through from being boxpressed. The cap clipped off evenly. The wrapper was a dark rosado maroon brown. The prelight smell was honey like. The draw was firm. The taste of the tobacco slightly spicy. I carefully torched the foot for about 2 minutes, blew on the foot a few times, purged the cigar once and began puffing away. The initial flavor was light cinammon. That lasted through a quarter way. Then cedar joined in with some light chocolate. The coffee just made the experience better. Towards the middle the cigar opened up and WOW! what a rush. I got an orchestra of spicy woody flavors with some dark chocolate. I almost nubbed it, but since I was puffing away so deeply I was beginning to feel kind of light headed. The aftertaste was fairly short but great. Thank god still I have over 40 nicely aged Salazars toros and torpedos left to enjoy this Christmas. Hope you guys try this out too. They are from CubanCrafters.com

Review Notes: It was decent but not as good as all the reviews. Maybe I should have left it in the humi.

"Another hit...!"

Review Notes: Wow, the most consistent razor-sharp burn and snow white ash in the industry! Flavor was also great: full-bodied, smooth and complex; although the torpedo and churchill do have a more coffee-like character. Price is unbeatable for such quality. Overall, top notch -- just like every other Salazar and Cuban Crafter that I've tried.

"On second thought..."

Review Notes: I don't know what happened in the past 5 weeks but, I am very relieved. I bought a box of toros and a box of churchills. I was disapointed in both when I tried the first ones from each box. Now they are the Salazars I was looking forward to. Strong pepper/cinnamon with floral undertones to start, mellowing to spice/pepper with sweet wood flowing from a full, easy draw. I guess they had to dry out and breathe a little to become the quality smoke I expected.

Review Notes: not as good as the torpedos and churchills I've had. I must say I'm disappointed in the toro. The flavors and strength are not as good as the other Salazars.
