Review Notes: For such a small stick, this Joya burns slow, mellow, and quite enjoyably. I'm a fan of the line, particularly of the Bellicose, and after a disappointing experience with their Gran Reserva, I'm happy to have another great smoke from this company. A bit spicy and with a heavy body despite being easy on the palate. The aroma IS very strong and those around you may not fancy it, so beware. This cigar is packed tight and it's packed with excellence so enjoy.

Review Notes: Wow, knocked me for a loop.I bought 10 of these little killers and aged em for about 6 months. I heard stories , but am thinking how bad can they be? Well, they be bad.Not in taste( delicious), but shock and awe bad. After 25 minutes, i had to let it go for a stretch. After 45 minutes, i came to a complete standstill .Thats the first cigar that ever scared me.But did I like it? YES! I'm just going to age them for a loooong time.Curious thing, my wife actually liked them smell of this one. go figure.

"Draw is too tight"

Review Notes: The flavor of the first third is amazing, but after the first inch it is hard to keep it lit as the draw is extremely tight, almost plugged. I've smoked several of these and the I find I just have to work roo hard to get any smoke. Maybe I have a bad batch.

"A pleasant surprise"

Review Notes: This is a plump rothschild short and fat. Nice firm bunching with a uniform roll and a very oily dark rosado wrapper. There is a definite bright reddish hue on the wrapper. The cigar has a flat well applied cap. Interesting enough it didnít cooperate when I tried to punch it, but I eventually got the circular cap off. Initial draw was woody with little spice. Initial puffs were also very woody with a strong underlying spice\peppery kick. Both draw and smoke volume is good, but the draw has some resistence. The finish is long and seems to change from woody notes to a spicy tea like quality. This cigar definitely has some strength to it, but its not overbearing with nicotine like a Camacho. There is a strong spicey black pepper kick with wood and leather notes. There doesnít seem to be much earthiness to this cigar, definitely more woody and leathery like a BRC. The aroma has both a sweet fruity scent and a stale woody note. Its not offensive but different. Its also a bit stingy. The draw was a bit too tight so I opened it up by cutting the cap. This helped the draw but didnít change the taste any. The burn was very straight and it produced a very solid light-med gray ash. The finish is long and clean and really enjoyable. The pepper slowly fades and is replaced by a sweet tea like flavor. At the mid point I started picking up some annise flavors. Iím really enjoying this cigar. There is also a noticeable sweetness on the draw which hits the tip of the tongue. While this is a full bodied, med-full strength cigar, I wouldnít put it in the same category as some Don Pepin smokes (not as strong as the 601, or blue label). Past the mid point the flavor started becoming more cedary with less tea flavors and a diminishing spice note. The first third seemed more complex and enjoyable. The last third kicks up with some spice and cedar. Not the powerhouse billed as by many, but definitely fulfilling and satisfying. When your finished, you are definitely fully satisfied.

"Great smoke"

Review Notes: Highly recommend this one if you like a cigar that is strong, spicy, smooth, somewhat sweet. I enjoyed this one for about 45 minutes. First 2/3 were spicy cream with smoothness. Last 1/3 is stronger. It's not super complex, but I really enjoyed it. Burn was above average.
