Review Notes:
I love this cigar and was very disappointed when they went away. Fortunately, the Dark Corojo is a worthy replacement.

Review Notes:
I like the Gran Reservas better than the regular JDN line...There, I said it. Why? They're smoother yet really full. This one has a jostling of flavor that includes spicy, earthy, leathery, woody, and even a sweet faintness. Really nice and complex and definitely not one note. These have perhaps as beautiful a white ash as I have seen, and put that up against the dark brown wrapper and it just makes you appreciate the aestetics of this stick

Review Notes:
It's definitely a looker, but I found this one to be utterly overpowering. Spicier than the regular Antano, but not necessarily in a good way. I might think differently of this one when it has some age on it. But for now, I see it as the less desirable elements of the Antano (power at the expense of all else) in a pricier package. Generally disappointing.

Review Notes:
This is a very solid stick, and, instead of boring you with the same comments as many of the others, I will share what I have found. After burning MANY boxes of JDN's, I have found the taste and overall smoothness can be found in the regular line by just laying them down. I continously buy the regular line and age them. I am currently on a box of belicoso's that has been down for 3 years!!! I know it seems like a long time, but after 1 year down, they have a dead-on profile of the Gran Reserva. I am not taking anything away from this line, but, as with most NIC puros, this stick's smoothness is the result of increased aging. If you have the patience and can stockpile the 1970 base line, you will get the same result. Also, this stick performs much better in smaller ring guages; the 60 can be a waste. These are prettier to look at, but I burn for the flavor and aroma. That being said, if you like full-bodied, full-tilt cigars, you cannot get any better.

Review Notes:
The wrapper on this solid cigar has a rich, dark color. The draw is somewhat firm and the burn is very slow and needs the occasional relight or correction; you can't set this one down for very long or it'll go out. Just like the regular Antanos it's very spicy and leathery from the start, but it soon develops a rich earthy taste with smoothness and balance--traits not usually associated with the Antano line. It could smoke better, but it's a tasty smoke that's worth the higher price. No. 20 in Cigar Aficionado's top 25 cigars of 2005.
