"Not worth the effort"

Review Notes: This one didn't start or finish very well. A medium to strong taste, unusually harsh for Nicaraguan (which I usually like). Average construction and a poor burn. This is similar to what I've experienced from the entire Joya line. Inexpensive and now I know why.

"Fine quality for the $$$"

Review Notes: A bit veiny in appearance, but the draw was close to perfect and the burn was slow and consistent. Medium-bodied with nice tones of leather and cedar, a little bit of spice near the end. Wanted a little more smoke, but otherwise a great value for a mere $5.00. Try one!

"Didn't like this one............"

Review Notes: This smoke started with a very harsh, bitter, charred flavor, that only mellowed slightly,.....it maintained a very, very leathery taste with very strong hints of tea, honey, and cinnamon.........but, it still kept the charred flavor. I have to be objective, if you like those flavors, or characteristics of a cigar.....go for it! However, I was disappointed, b/c I typically enjoy J de N cigars, but not this one. Also, I will certainly try other shapes of this cigar, b/c the torpedo shape seemed to be pushing the smoke to the very back of my tongue and throat, which wasn't pleasant either. But, the construction was nice, the draw was good, and the ash/aroma were pleasant. Even though this smoke is rather inexpensive, I wouldn't keep any of these on hand. Sorry to be disappointed by this one! But, Ill try others.

Review Notes: Enjoyed this cigar considering I only paid 4 bucks for it. Had it been a penny more, I'd say it was overpriced. Had some burn problems and was a bit harsh.

Review Notes: These get a lot of flack but take it from a reviewer that actually gave them a chance. I have smoked 3 boxes of the torpedos and 1 box of the coronas so far. The coronas are a little too sparse in the flavor department. The torpedos are great though. I had my last box for 3 months and they are really good now. I think I have around 3 left. They need some settling time and they seem to do taste much better at 65% RH rather than 70. I get loads of cinnamon, spice, cocoa, wood and earth in these. The criollo wrapper is one of the best taste-wise on the market. It is similar to the torano silver and better than the CAO criollo or the Cubita SMS. They are not nearly as potent as the antano but a nice change of pace IMO. The only downside is the appearance. They burn OK but they look pretty messy.
