Review Notes:
Bought a box, already smoked half, and bought another box aleady. Bought boxes of Padron 1964s and Montecristos Platinum Tubos at the same time. While these others are very good cigars, I find myself smoking 3-4 JL Epicure No.1s for every Padron or Montecristo. I have a very full and diverse humidor full of quality cigars, yet the Juan Lopez E1s are my favorite - top construction, smooth, steady, draw and burn (all 12 or so I have smoked), great flavor right from the start, down to the band (and even beyond), with no added flavors that a good cigar doesn't need. This is not a mild cigar, but it is such a smooth, even, awesome tasting stick, that even my "amateur" cigar smoking buddies enjoy it (guys who would normally handle nothing more than a Davidoff).
I have read many review of cigars at this website, and even bought a few brands based on some of the reviews. But I have never felt compelled to write in myself until now, until I became a die-hard Juan Lopez fan to the detriment of the "premium" sticks in my humidor, and when I read some of the bad or moderate reviews of this great cigar. I can only say to them - what the he** were you smoking before you smoked JL's Epicure No.1?
Oh - and at less than $100 a box, this is the best value I have found since I began smoking cigars!
