Review Notes: What do you expect! First and foremost this is a helluva bargain for the price. Box press, albeit not flawless, it holds it's own in the contruction department. Self correcting burns if it starts to stray, and the draw is easy. Toasty leather flavors with a long finish that trails spicy. Not peppery spicy but paprika spicy. The last 1/4 inch it mellows out to a creamy almost pumpkin seed like taste. (Hard to describe) Enjoyable and must try for the price.

"Best in my HUmidor"

Review Notes: Bought a box, already smoked half, and bought another box aleady. Bought boxes of Padron 1964s and Montecristos Platinum Tubos at the same time. While these others are very good cigars, I find myself smoking 3-4 JL Epicure No.1s for every Padron or Montecristo. I have a very full and diverse humidor full of quality cigars, yet the Juan Lopez E1s are my favorite - top construction, smooth, steady, draw and burn (all 12 or so I have smoked), great flavor right from the start, down to the band (and even beyond), with no added flavors that a good cigar doesn't need. This is not a mild cigar, but it is such a smooth, even, awesome tasting stick, that even my "amateur" cigar smoking buddies enjoy it (guys who would normally handle nothing more than a Davidoff). I have read many review of cigars at this website, and even bought a few brands based on some of the reviews. But I have never felt compelled to write in myself until now, until I became a die-hard Juan Lopez fan to the detriment of the "premium" sticks in my humidor, and when I read some of the bad or moderate reviews of this great cigar. I can only say to them - what the he** were you smoking before you smoked JL's Epicure No.1? Oh - and at less than $100 a box, this is the best value I have found since I began smoking cigars!

Review Notes: Really disapointing seegar. Rough and punctured wrapper. Cigar caved in all the way up to the half before being trashed

Review Notes: I agree ith the review below. This is a very square pressed cigar, great to look at with a oily wrapper. Because of the severe press you would think it would yield a tight draw, but that is not the case at all, in fact its got a great draw. Srong flavors abound including chocolate fudge, bitter chocolate, spice, with a hint of pepper. Good now, I think these will be really great cigars with some additional aging.

Review Notes: I found this well constructed box pressed cigar to be a very good smoke. It feels too thick and dense to draw well, but it does. Draw should improve with some aging in my humidor. Overall I liked this cigar. Somewhat chocolatey in taste and fairly smooth. Medium to full flavor.
