Review Notes:
Absolutely a fine stick. This robusto is mellow and smooth and pairs well with a good whiskey or even beer. It's got plenty of taste, with flavors of toast, cream and a bit of mocha. The wrapper seems a bit thin and the Symphony Robusto has an acceptable but not great burn. It's a find looking cigar and overall more than a solid addition to the humidor of those who like a mild smoke.

Review Notes:
Easy to light and maintains its even burn without any difficulty. Draw is moderately firm. Provides vast amounts of mild-bodied, mellow smoke. As for the flavor, it is quite woody and has hints of spice, nuts and cream. The flavors aren’t terribly intense, but they are all there. It’s not bad! It’s quite well-rounded and not harsh in the least. And the construction is great: unlike a lot of other Gurkhas, the draw solid, the burn is even and the wrapper neither cracks nor unravels. A good, soft, mellow smoke for a hot day. Goes quite well with a pilsner or a latte.

Review Notes:
I find too often that Gurkha (and Rocky Patel) suffers from an inordinate amount of construction issues. I'll start from the beginning. I had this in the humidor for about half of a year. Pre-light aroma was faint. Appearance was just fine. Draw was tight, as kaisersozei said below, with it very difficult to get a decent amount of smoke out of each draw. The flavor was very light, and really didn't have much to it. It was somewhat grassy with a little creaminess, but certainly not something to write home about. A little after I lit it, I noticed the wrapper starting to crack about an inch past the head. And from there, it just got worse. The further I got down the stick, the more the wrapper cracked and started to peel. By the time I was 2/3 in, I was left with binder and filler, at which point I tossed it. I felt bad, as I am a fan of the Symphony series, and I felt them to be one of Hansotia's best releases. This one was a total dog rocket. Hansotia (you too, Patel) needs to step up quality control.

Review Notes:
Smooth, nice looking stick, with no significant veins. Lit well with a straight burn all the way to the nub. The draw was tight, and it put out more smoke from the foot than I could draw in! The wrapper started to bulge and crack about halfway, I thought it was a goner, but it corrected by the band--that was impressive. Extremely consistent flavors of nutty tobacco & toast, with some vanilla. Overall had a dry sweetness to it. Medium creamy finish. Tasty, but nothing changed throughout the 90 minutes I spent on this, so it grew boring. Not bad overall, but there are mild cigars with more complexity that I prefer over this.

Review Notes:
I like these a lot - very complex, especially the last two-thirds. First third is very mild, to the point of boring, but after that the taste and body really pick up, to the point of being medium-full with a bit of spice. My only gripe about these is the fragile wrappers - 4 out of five of these have 1" long lengthwise splits in the wrapper, but not the binder, but no "leaking" of air. (I don't have this problem with any other brands, so I doubt storage is to blame. Maybe a bad batch?) I especially like the long finish which has an espresso edge to it. Nubbed it - will buy again.
