"Just okay"

Review Notes: Still pretty nice for the a.m. Construction wasn't as good this time. Firm draw. Not plugged, but a little extra effort was required. Picked up some molasses notes on the first half, which I suspect is something this stick picked up from its neighbors in the humidor. I didn't notice this flavor when I first smoked one from this fiver 10 months ago. Slightly tart on the final third. All in all, a respectable morning stick. But there are better choices if you occasionally crave something shade wrapped.

"Steady..... Smooth"

Review Notes: The Symphony is smooth and steady from beginning to end. It draws excellent and delivers tons of creamy and caramel smoke. I can see why it's often compared to the AVO #2. While they have plenty of similarities, I think that the Symphony has a bit more strength and doesn't overheat towards the end. I'm still shocked at just how inexpensive they are. We've all smoked cigars that cost much more and deliver much less. I recommend these to anyone who enjoys a mild, yet medium bodied cigar with a creamy taste. I have to thank Rob for the intro.

"Mild, but no lack of flavor"

Review Notes: Wrapped in a beautiful and oily Connecticut shade wrapper, the appearance alone produces high expectations. There is a great aroma upon lighting the cigar a preview of what to expect. The tastes present include almond and wood, with a hint of vanilla. There is also some delicious spice on the finish. As you smoke it, plumes of nutmeg-scented smoke will fill the room (unless you are at the time subject to downright un-American smoking bans). There were, however, unpleasant inconsistencies in flavor that popped up a couple times throughout the smoke. This could possibly be chalked up to a premature indulgence, as the cigar had only been in my humidor for 3-4 months. For $4, a the Gurkha Symphony is a delicious and fairly priced smoke.

"Nice change of pace cigar"

Review Notes: I like my El Rey del Mundos, 5 Vegas A's and my Monty #2's. There are though occasions when a nice milder medium cigar hits the spot. For these times I usually go for a Perdomo Champagne, Casa Torano or a "Symphony". Fine quality, pleasant character and quality construction. A tasty little number that gets a bit richer with time in the humidor. I like them on the golf course when I want a fine cigar that doesn't become my focus during a round of golf. Like very pleasant background music...I think "symphony" is a great name for it!

"Mild and Mellow"

Review Notes: This is a handsome cigar with great presentation and feel. Burn was good. Lots of smoke. Very mild and enjoyable, never getting harsh even when puffing repeatedly. Flavor seems to build a bit toward the end with a slightly citrusy, buttery creaminess and light tobacco flavor - just the way it should. Quality is evident in these. I got a really lucky deal at just over $2 each, but I would probably pay a little more for these. Nothing to dislike here, just mild and good.
