"Nice rich flavor"

Review Notes: Beautiful looking cigar with a nice old world band. A bit gaudy but old school and acceptable. Hard bunching uniform through the length of the cigar. Leading to a potential tight draw. Very attractive dark natural honduran wrapper with a nice oily sheen and well made cap. Wrapper has a rustic and sungrown appearance. Prelight draw is a bit tight and provided a subtle barnyard scent. Initial aroma is very feint. Initial puffs upon lighting provided a full rich heavy bodied flavor of sweet tobacco, wood and earth. The draw is a bit tight and smoke volume could be better, but the flavor is rich and without spice. Rich Honduran flavors reminiscent of the old Don Melo Centanario. No spice, but medium to full bodied rich heavy sweet woody tobacco flavor. I wish the draw was better so I could get more smoke through the cigar. Drying them out a bit does help the draw. The cigar burned evenly and produced a solid medium grey ash. This is a slow burning stick with a medium length loamy and sweet tobacoo finish. The aroma is sweet with a touch of spice and very enjoyable. I keep saying to myself that the tight draw is holding this cigar back. This is definitely not a cigar that you can punch. You need to cut the head in order to increase air flow as the roll is too tight and hinders the draw. This is a rich mild-medium strength, medium - full bodied smoke that is hindered by a tight draw, which doesnít allow all the flavor and strength to break through, The last third picked up a touch of spice, but otherwise stayed pretty consistent throughout the cigar.

"Very nice."

Review Notes: Attractive reddish brown Honduran wrapper with a classy old time band. This stick had about 2-3 months of box time. Burn was a bit uneven but nothing horrible. Draw was a bit tight but did open up after some massaging and a poke. A very nice, smooth, chewy, medium bodied cigar with flavors of slightly sweet tobacco, some spice, and some mocha. This hit my palate just right. I'll base the value review on $3. (I got a 5 pack on c-bid for $15) I had the torpedo about 8 months ago and I found it to be mundane. This was not. You know you smoked a good cigar when you are thinking about how soon you can smoke another one.

"Dark surprise."

Review Notes: Beautiful dark, toothy wrapper with an easy light and draw. Starts out spicy, woody and slightly sweet. Hints of coffee, leather, honey and perfumed soap show up here and there. Holds up well to a lager with a med-full strength and flavor. The spices become sweeter and the wood becomes creamier after two inches. A little more corojo and less wood and we would be talking top tier. The white ash is nearing two inches and holding dropping only a few flakes in my lap. I spoke too soon, it just fell off. The complexity makes this an enjoyable smoke. The strength and flavors vary as you approach halfway, the burn near perfect. I received this in a Holt's sampler. Not caring for the dbl corona probably would not have tried it otherwise. I think this cigar was aged much longer. Surprisingly, I really enjoyed this one and with proper aging you will too. Value based on $2.00 sampler price.

"Not bad"

Review Notes: I had a good experience with this cigar. It was very powerful and spicy at lightup, but mellowed out nicely after about five minutes. Nice medium bodied flavor. Burn was a little uneven at times. All in all, not bad.
