Review Notes:
Must've been something good because this cigar is bangin'! I was introduced to La Aurora by the cien anos corona. I will honestly say that the first one of those I had was THE best stick I have ever smoked, bar-none. That was an isolated incident though as the others I had weren't as good but still top-notch. Anyway, I had high expectations with this. I lit it and was surprised to find that after a couple of minutes, I had to double take the label to make sure I hadn't bought a Padron '64! The wrapper had the same little bumps that 64's have and the flavor was very similar. Great construction, great taste, half the price. That's good value to me! Try one.

Review Notes:
Starts off with lots of black pepper and a lengthy finish. At first I am not terribly impressed with the flavor — it’s not harsh, but with so much pepper it comes off as very sharp. After a few more draws the aroma of the wrapper adds a complementary note that evens things out and calms down the spice. By the middle of the cigar the complexity becomes more evident. There is a definite transition from the peppery introduction to a more balanced flavor at this point. This balance does not, however, lessen the strength. I did not experience any construction problems at all -- perfect draw, great burn. If you're looking for a lot of spicy flavor in a small stick, this is your man.

Review Notes:
but other than having a slightly tight draw, I have to say this is one of the more complex cigars out there. Layer upon layer of flavors, the most dominant to me being Black cherry. I have to say with my eyes closed I was smoking a PSD4. A little drybox time and these ought to be perfect. I've had 3 so far from 2 differents B&Ms and the review would be exactly the same.

Review Notes:
This cigar truly puts the cohiba red dot crystal corona to shame! Extraordinarily complex from start to finnish, I've nubbed every one I've smoked down to about a half inch....beautiful silky smooth (yet very strong) wrappers with tiny, almost invisible veins, prelight effects are good and construction is top notch....slow burner....initial and 1st phase; flavors are mild and earthy with Autumn-spicy undertones, 2cnd phase; Very spicy! good complexity, alot to discern here....finnish shifts to a remarkable, complex array of flavors including floral and vegetal elements with undertones of various spices....the spice may be a bit much for some, but it's always sweet and never bitter...I just bought a box and couldn't be happier....this is my first experience with this brand, as I cannot get them in Oregon...I can't wait to try their other offerings. A petit corona with this much flavor and complexity speaks volumes of what their larger vitolas have to offer....my highest recommendations for those in search of a good, sweet spicey and complex cigar.

Review Notes:
I've tried the regular La Aurora's and the Preferidos and the 1495 is much better than both of them...unlike the other two lines this one has some taste to it. Medium bodied, fairly complex, has a woody toasty taste with a little spice and sugar, but has a little bit of that sourness though that I found in the Preferidos (some people like that taste; I don't) but it wasn't enough to ruin the cigar for me.
Real nice wrapper that tastes good. The wrapper is probably the high point of this cigar. Pre-light bouquet is great. If I ever get one of these again, I doubt I'll light it for a long time.
Cigar is well constructed with good burn and pretty loose draw. I'd recommend it to someone who has tried the other L.A. lines and liked them. Although it's good it's not an amazing cigar, there's better out there but this one is solid.
