Review Notes: I guess I can only blame myself for becoming so excited about this cigar. It received much hype, which is why I bought a 5 pack for $30 without ever trying one first. I couldn't really make out any one dominating taste, but a mix of light tastes that I really had to try hard to even notice. It was a bit of black pepper and slight spice. Midway picked up a bit of a metallic twang. Later hints of wood. I really lost interest about 2/3rds. Rather boring smoke to my newb palate.

Review Notes: Good burn and Draw. Started spicy and then taken over by wood at the half. Last half disappointing as some almost sharp bitter undertones started. This was not a complex smoke. From this cigar I understand now that I don't favour woody flavour on its own. Medium overall character.

Review Notes: As with the Belicoso, this is a superb cigar. It starts out spicy with smooth nicaraguan earth and a medium/full body. With some oak, pepper and ligero notes, this is a nicely complex and amazingly smooth cigar. Not a hint of harshness and strong but never overpowering. Expensive, but very good.

Review Notes: First, I have to respond to Heavy G's review. There is no Cameroon tobacco involved in the 1495. I also love Cameroon wrappers, but this is an ESG. The robusto is great. Woody, earthy, and I get some caramel around the middle usually. Always great construction and burn. La Aurora is tops. A little pricey for me to smoke regularly but a nice treat once a month or so.

Review Notes: First, I must preface my review with two disclaimers...one, I love cameroon wrappers. Two, I like La Aurora cigars (the cien anos and preferidos are world class). Overall, this is a well balanced, complex smoke with medium body and a satisfying, cameroon finish. Nutty flavor profile with hints of spice. Beautiful construction...perfect draw...even burn. Just a flat out brilliant cigar...I love the Don Carlos double robusto and this is in that league. Bravo!
