Review Notes: I don't consider myself a newbie. I average about 1 stick/day. This cigar was awful. It was not spicy, not sweet, not creamy, none of the attributes I have seen mentioned here fit. It did taste distinctive though. That being said I'd like to never experience that taste again. Burn was way off, canoed almost all the way. Draw too tight, had to relight several times. I got a dud you're thinking. Perhaps. Alas, I'd like to never spend $14 to get that taste again.

Review Notes: Today I am reviewing the La Aurora Cien Anos Robusto 5 X 50 triple DR. I have waited a couple months to test drive this beauty. Pre-light aroma was exquisite and begged me to torch her up. The flavor was Corojo like with a creamy, nutty, full-bodied, long finish cigar. The construction was first tier with voluminous smoke and a grey-white ash that was outlined with an obsidian black in color line that separated the ash and unburned DR wrapper. I rate this cigar a solid nine on a 1 to 10 scale.

Review Notes: This gets my vote for best new cigar this year over the RP Reo. The flavor is tobacco and wood with a deep aroma. The flavors are not all that complex, but you will smoke this to the nub. A little pricey, but that will change once the hype wears off.

Review Notes: I got one as a gift and didn't know what to expect. Prior to lighting, the cigar is beautiful. Awesome rich, dark wrapper with next to no veins. The smell was fantastic. Once lit, a nice surge of spice hit the pallet. Nothing too much, but enough to make you notice. That soon mellowed slightly into a great overall balance sweetness and spice. The aroma was also very pleasant. The draw was great and burn was even the entire way. This had to be one of the nicest cigars ive had the pleasure to smoke yet. Excellent cigar. At $15 my friend paid for this cigar at our local shop, it would have to be for a special occasion, but i suggest picking one up and trying it.

Review Notes: I bought a pair of these a year ago, saving for a special occasion; this week, I got the occasion, and pulled one of these out of the humidor. This cigar has a perfect draw, and one of the more complex spice signatures I've run across; hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, anise. It seemed to have a bit of the magic that an Ashton VSG has as well. I had to touch it up twice, which is unacceptable for a cigar of this price. I've got the belicoso as well; hopefully it will be a bit better.
