"Flavor Plus"

Review Notes: If you want flavor this is the stick. From first puff, the dark Cameroon wrapper shone through with cinnamon and spice. A bit too strong at first but settling down by the second third. Construction, cut and burn were all top rate. An enjoyable smoke down to the nub.

"Another difficult perfecto"

Review Notes: It's rare to find a perfecto that has consistent draw and burn, and this wasn't one of them. Flavor was good enough to keep me working, but after the first 1/4" the draw became impossible. After a few rolls through the length of the stick I was able to finish it up after numerous touchups.

"Horribly Disappointed"

Review Notes: I'd been saving these for a special occassion, and broke one out yesterday for Super Bowl Sunday. Don't get me wrong, this isn't a horrible cigar; but it's far from worth the going MSRP. I am a cameroon fan, and I would advise any other lovers to stick with anything Fuente with a Cammy wrapper, the CAO CX2, or for about the same money, a Partagas Decades selection. Back to the cigar at hand, the construction was great on these, as it burned evenly throughout. Perhaps my only critique would be that the draw was slightly tight, and I didn't get as much smoke from it as I would have hoped to. The flavor was really lacking, however. Simply put, it was somewhat bland. No spice, no sweetness, just blah. Not bad, but not too good either, and for the price these guys run, I would expect more. I won these on auction, so I don't feel too cheated, but if I had paid retail, I'd be really ticked. My understanding is that some of the other Preferidos are superior to these Cammy's, and I'd advise anyone wanting to try this line to go with one of those.

"So so..."

Review Notes: I'm finding more and more that I'm just not much of a Cameroon fan, so I'm going to try to keep that from influencing my review too heavily. I really like CAO's Cameroon, but that's about it. The Vegas de Fonseca I tried was pretty good and the Upmann Vintage Cameroon was also o.k., but I just donít care for the flavor much. This one was o.k., although it tasted very distinctly of cardboard with a light dusting of black pepper. At about the half-way point, a hint of vanilla came though for about 2 puffs, but that was about the only subtle complexity I picked up on. Towards the end, some garlic flavors became noticeable, but that made me want to toss it more than anything. Overall, I was less than impressed with the flavor, but I had to give some credit for the construction. Although the draw was slightly tight, the cigar was a work of art. The shape was beautiful, the burn was perfect the entire time and the ash never showed any signs of wanting to fall off. I only had to knock it off twice during the entire smoke. In summary, I'm a big fan of Aurora cigars, but I probably won't be smoking any more of their Cameroon offerings with the exception of the robusto I already have in my humidor.

"Solid Smoke"

Review Notes: Aside from price and availability this is a nice cigar. The wrapper provides just enough flavor to keep you interested. The construction, appearance, burn, and draw are top notch. Not to complex but straight forward tobacco flavors
