Review Notes: This cigar should be a lot more considering how much they ask for it. Very impressive tube, fine perfecto shape. The cigar cut well, and the draw was decent. The slight sweet taste in the first couple of puffs is quickly dismissed by a wall of cedar flavor. Towards the end it had a subtle taste of nuts, but the wood flavor dominated throughout. Some time in the humidor might mellow it out the woodsy taste and bring out the more subtle flavors. I really didn't experience anything to justify the $17 dollar price tag. Luckily I got 3 for $25. I'll try the corojo, which is reviewed in a more positive light.

Review Notes: I recieved this cigar free and as such I'm not worried about the price, but if I paid nearly $20 for it I'd rather smoke a better and cheaper Padron 1964 anniversary. That said, it is still a very enjoyable smoke as it burned well and tasted very nice. The Ecuadorian wrapper looked great upon removal from what must be one of the finest looking packagings I've even seen - the emerald colored aluminum tube. A small clip and I was off. It tasted nice with a sweet breadiness, a complimentary nuttiness, and a nice woodiness that though light was pretty well balanced. It burned great with no touchups needed and lasted almost an hour never getting hot or having any harshness. This cigar is a very enjoyable smoke as it was really smooth and medium in body. If it was available under $10 I would rate it extremely high for a medium smoke. As it is I think it is designed to sell to the "casino crowd" who likes the best gifted to them.

Review Notes: With two years of age and down to my last emerald, I smoked it with much relief. That Ecuadorian wrapper really makes it what it is, a masterpiece. With a massive flavor profile, consisting of hazelnut, espresso, roasted almonds, followed up with cherry, dark chocolate, toast, and roast beef. Truly pleasant.

Review Notes: Last year I purchased a five pack of this Ecuador Robusto & kept them in my humidor. Yesterday I had one with my father in-law and together we came to the conclusion that this robusto, even though has an interesting mixture of tobacco, decent burn and construction, was mediocre flavor wise. The 1st third tasted acidic and harsh, some spice and earth made their way through but it was very muddled, the 2nd third the flavor stayed flat and one-dimensional until thing got bitter. We didn't smoke until the last third and discarded the rest. I have a box of the Cameroon preferido robusto and hope they fair better then these.

Review Notes: Could not even get it to burn. The draw was good, but the binder and wrapper would not burn. was kept at a consistent 70%. smashed it in anger after 15 min.
