Review Notes: Who would have thunk that this cigar from Famous Smoke Shops would be so good? I contemplated this as I hiked through the pristine West Virginia Valley with the two black dogs playing in the stream as the first spring wildflowers bloomed. It was a very dark, attractive stick that had a few burn difficulties at the start. It seemed the foot wanted to split after being lighted, as a cigar with an explosive "load' did in the old movie comedys. This happened a couple times, but applying the torch took care of the problem without significant impact on the smoking experience. I just never had a cigar that did that more than once. For flavor it had a big zing, which I assume was from the wrapper, I think I also detected some hints of dark chocolate, nuts and pepper. I'm not a huge Maduro fan, but I really liked this cigar, especially for the price.

Review Notes: My friend and I are on the search for "The Great $1 Gar". While I'm not sure that this is it, it is currently my no.1. I've tried many of the jr alts, consuegra's etc and these afford the best value so far. My top criterion for any gar is draw THEN taste. Suckin on a tasty rock is , uh ...well, suckin on a rock! While the draw is not incredible it is still very good and then taste is also pretty good for a bundle. The taste doesnt really have those dry elements like many low-end sticks have. Apparently these are Plasencia's budget wraps which makes sense. So when is Rocky Patel gonna start making dollar-ish sticks?

Review Notes: This one looks pretty good. The taste is OK for a cheap bundle brand. I had trouble with the burn. I could only get a few of these to not run on me. I dunno, overall this one isn't too bad but I will keep looking for a different "cheapie" for everyday, this one isn't it.

Review Notes: I just received a bundle today, and fired one up. They need a little time in the humidor but, I found them to be tasty, well made (solid roll and wrapped). The ash was white/grey and got as long as 2 inches before I flicked it. The aroma was wonderful and the body was medium and very smooth. Not so spicy but sweet and earthy, with undertones of nuts and chocolate. The finish is long and mellow. Once they are in the humidor for a while, I am sure they will be even better. This is an excellent buy, and an excellent cigar for the price paid. I know I got a good one here; I just have to be patient and let em set a spell.
