Review Notes: I sell cigars out of my boot shop as a fun sideline. I really can't sell Thompson products however because they do not wholesale. Anyway I purchased two boxes of these on a special thinking that if they were as good as advertised I would actually be able to sell them since the 2-box special really reduced the regular price. Boy was I disappointed. I returned them. Tasted sour or something unpleasant. Maybe they needed more fermentation or curing to stop the fermintation??? I dunno. Customer who recommended them later brought me one of his and I admit it was a lot better than the two boxes I returned, thus I believe this to be inconsistent. Even though the one given me was better it was not amazing or anything like that. My favorite low cost cigars are licenciados and old fashions from Mikes (I sell these as Mike's do also wholesale to dealers). Thompson is like Protor & Gamble. They are first and foremost marketers and they only use products so they can market something. They are not customer or product driven, but are masters of creating the sale. As long as you can keep a few steadies and continually add new clients this works. I can't help feeling if they were more into the manufacturing and less into the marketing they'd be making more consistently pleasing smokes. Oh well, that's just my opinion and like _____ we all got 'em!

"Was half of it wet?"

Review Notes: Only half of this cigar burned at a time! My cigar, along with a friend (smoked indoors) both burned very unevenly. This led to terrible taste as well as constant need to re-light.

"Good But Too Expensive"

Review Notes: Tastes good, but not quite worth the current pricing of around $50-$60 a box. A chestnut brown wrapper, with a few veins and some funky looking wrinkles. Good roll and draw. Nice bread like overtones, with some nutty undertones. Fairly mild, decent creamy texture of smoke. For a no-name house brand, should sell for about $10-$20 less in price. Its a good big cigar, but IMHO is still a bit overpriced. Would be a good deal at around $35-$40 a box.
