Review Notes: a friend ordered a sampler and gave me a variety to try, my first experience with Thompson. This was a La Palmoa Corojo, good construction, looked good. ample smoke. below average taste. Sharp, sometimes acrid taste. i made about half of it, let it go. worked in yard, Went to humi for a Punch Maduro and a beer, ahhhh, life was better then.

Review Notes: See my review of the Belmondo. La Paloma is only slightly better, and that's not saying much. If you want a Thompson cigar, get the Romantico (mild), the Manolete (mild), or the Dona Inez (mild-med, and probably my favorite Thompson). Also, avoid the Barlovento at all costs. There are other Thompsons, both good and bad, but these are the six which most immediately come to mind. The review here is for the La Paloma; do yourself a favor and pass on it.

Review Notes: A beautifully constructed cigar with a lot of eye appeal. Good feel, burn, and draw. Ash con barrel over 1 1/2 inches, no flak. Mild to Medium bodied. Bites a little, some salt, and aftertaste. Could use a little more flavor and taste. Burn line was thick. Smokable.
