"Mabe the best one in the Legend Series"

Review Notes: This is in my book probably the best is the Legends series. Perfect construction and excellent flavor. It's a stronger smoke than the regular La Aurora smokes and a great tasting blend.

"A nice blend"

Review Notes: This is the most solidly built cigar of the Legend line that I have tried, but the draw was perfect. This was more mild than I expected, but the flavors were still pleasing and there was no harshness to this cigar to the nub. I would put this right next to the greycliff in the Legend's pecking order.

"Disappointing"

Review Notes: Tried one today after buying a 5 pack from cigarbid.com earlier this week. Had great expectations based on the La Aurora name. Upon lighting, it had a a nice pep and taste. But the burn was fairly uneven and no amount of retouching could correct it. The ash was not smooth and consistent. It seemed more like the ash you get when you burn firewood. The taste was acceptable, but this seemed to be a very average smoke. Perhaps this cigar was too green. I will allow the remaining four to rest for at least another month before trying another one. Perhaps some time in the humidor might do the trick

"A Very Good Legend To Try"

Review Notes: I've now had each of the Legends Series with the exception of the Drew Estates. The La Aurora entry to the series is indeed a good one. From a taste and body standpoint it is closest to the Camacho. It's fairly stout, but differs from the Camacho by having more spice but a less "in your face" punch. It left my tounge tingling and a little numb, and my head with a little buzz. My sample was straight from the wrapper to the torch, and I expect that the slight bitter taste will soften greatly or dissapear with some age. The construction was very good, on par with that of the Perdomo. There were no soft or hard spots. The pre-light scent is outstanding, reminiscent of a JDN Antano though not as bold. The wrapper has a mold toothiness and very consistent color. The La Aurora burned evenly with quite a bit of gray smoke. The Rocky Patel Legend still edges (no pun intended) this out as my favorite, but I will be smoking more of these. Being a new entry in the series the price is still high at bid. The lower score in the value category is based on a $3 price. Time will tell if the price will fall as the blue and white labels have. There are a LOT of equally good, better, or just different smokes available at that price or below.
