"A Legend in the making."

Review Notes: The maduro wrapper on some of these hefty torpedoes had a few blemishes. A good pre-light smell and an excellent burn during my 50 minutes of enjoyment. The woodsy, light chocolate, and walnut taste was interesting. I was surprised by the nice flavor with a hint of spice noticable during the finish. This medium strength cigar produced thick clouds of smoke. I had these sticks about 2 weeks before my friends and I enjoyed them. The consensus was that this stick is a keeper. I'll be looking for more of these to go on sale.

"Decent Smoke"

Review Notes: Great construction and decent flavor -- woody with a coffee accent, some pepper in the first inch. Smooth but a little dry. Pretty typical Nicaraguan, though they're lightweights in that category. Nothing to get too excited about, but for the price they make a dandy everyday kind of cigar.

"AF Cuban Beli-esque"

Review Notes: I don't like any of the Perdomo cigars I've tried in the past, but I think Nick oughtta model some of his own line after this smoke he created for Cigars International. An extreme torpedo (not a toro, as is indicated above), this is a fine smoke. I won bids on a five of these Reds and another five of the Whites (by Camacho) about a year and a half ago, and smoked two of each in the first few months after receiving them. I recall not caring for the Whites at all, but I do remember really liking the Reds. Today, I thought I'd give this smoke another try to see how they aged and if my tastes had changed. Well, they aged well and my taste is steady on these. About half way into the smoke, the only thing that came to mind was "sungrown." These things remind me a lot of the Torano Virtuosos and, perhaps more so, the AF Cuban Belicosos. I'm not saying this cigar is as good as either of those smokes, but the flavor profile is very similar, and at a fraction of the price (if I remember correctly, I got these for about $2/stick). There's not a lot of complexity here, but if you like earth and leather, without harshness, the Legends Red is for you. What's more, this cigar burnt like a dream. It required just two minor touch-ups througout, and the chalky white ash clung in large clumps, dropping only twice during the entire smoke. If you can win them for about $9 per 5 on Cbid (those are bundle prices, folks), you can't do much better for an everyday smoke.

"Not impressed....then"

Review Notes: When I received my box I tried one after a week or two and as usual with bargain smokes put them up to rest. Decided today was the day to try them again. Upon lighting there was a light lemon/vanilla flavor and a very creamy smoke. A strong coffee and semi-sweet chocolate flavor soon mixes in and they come and go with the cream being constant. Very impressive for a sub $2 smoke. It's difficult to notice with the strong coffee taste but the finish is actually clean. A very nice medium bodied maduro with good flavor.
