Review Notes:
This black beauty packs a pretty good wallop. After about 4 months in the humidor, it may not be competely full powered, but it's certainly far from mild. I really enjoyed the flavor for the first half of the cigar, but because it lacked complexity, I got a little tired of that same taste toward the end. Still quite a good cigar it all respects, especially when I got them for three bucks a pop at c-bid. I've got another and I'm curious of what a year of aging will do for it.

Review Notes:
This is #3 out of a fiver I picked up almost exactly one year ago. This one didn't pack the same punch as the one I reviewed in May, but it was a solid stick nonetheless. Most noteworthy was the build. Perfect draw that never heated up despite the fact that I was hitting it frequently. For the first 2/3 the flavor was typical Fonseca -- woody with a slightly sweet, almost citrusy tang. However, it also developed some earth, spice and cocoa on the final third. Be patient with this one, as it can be a bit one-dimensional before the more complex ending. Oh, and if you pay anything approaching MSRP, you'll be disappointed.

Review Notes:
This cigar burned perfectly - top notch construction. However, the flavor wasn't to my liking. The first inch was fairly bland, but after this, things got a little more interesting including notes of licorice and hints of wood. The smoke was "dry", if that makes any sense. I've had several others from Quesada/MATASA and they all exhibit this quality, but it just doesn't suit me. I don't think I'll buy any more of these, but give it a try if you haven't yet.

Review Notes:
10 months rest has enhanced the flavor but smoothed out the strength and bite I liked so much. More medium than full now with some sweetness and flora. A great cigar and a good value if you can pick them up in the $4.50 range. If you are a medium + smoker then buy these for aging, if you're like me then 6 months is enough smok'em while they're stronger. Now all that being said, this may be unique to this one cigar. I have several more and hope they have held their boldness.

Review Notes:
Dark chocolate complexion with a nice prelight aroma. Get ready for a monster long smoke (2+hours for me and never relit), but don't worry, this was great all the way through. Compared to the perfecto, this one has a little more earthyness, and maybe more sweet/chocolate hint and less nuttyness than the perfecto. Burned quite well until last couple inches when it split, but i think it was overhumidified. Worth trying a few.
