"Not Bold but Good"

Review Notes: This is not bad line of cigars or a bad cigar. It is a great change of pace for those who like strong cigars. these are medium at best inspite of the size. Good draw, Good construction, beautiful in appearance. A solid smoke and yes a bit one dimensional but smooth. tends to burn a little hot toward the end so make a good cut. Liked the 5 pack enough that I have now been through two boxes. The also age fairly well. I've gotten some good prices at auction Thanks to reviews like Big Ed's.

"BORE - RING"

Review Notes: A nice looking stick that turned out to be well made with a great draw and burn. Those are the high points. This was the most one dimensional cigar I have had in some time; it just never went anywhere. The flavor wasn't bad, but it was mild to medium at best. A cigar this damn big will burn cool and needs some ligero to be interesting. Well I guess the blender forgot that you have to fill these behemoths with something. At just beyond the half way point it was the same as the first 1/4 inch, I was bored, and I tossed it. If you (seriously) are looking for something gigantic that is mild and unchanging this is worth your time. I may have enjoyed this when I first started; who knows? Not for a seasoned smoker though.

Review Notes: Not as bad as I feared but not a go to cigar by any means. Smoked it on the golf course which I think is perfect for this cigar. It had decent toasty flavor but again, not too great. Decent value though.

Review Notes: Alec Bradley has never let me down. This monster is a bit intimidating with it's "60" ring gauage. It's one of those cigars you have to be in the mood for, kinda like liver and onions. Well, this weekend I was in the mood for Alec Bradely's "Freak," and let me tell you I was not disappointed. First, it's a gorgeous cigar, even the color of the printing on the band matches the wrapper. The burn was the biggest problem which is often the case with a cigar this big. The Nicaraguan wrapper didn't want to burn evenly and required a few touch-ups with the torch. The flavor WAS bold, if not strong. It had a definite taste that was tangy and not in a subtle way. It really had a nice flavor at the very nub. I liked it and I think most cigar smokers will enjoy the different flavor of the Freak as a good change of pace from their regular cigar fare.
