Review Notes: I bought a bundle of these cigars last week from JR and planned to store them for a while before smoking. I like Mexican tobacco but thought that, like some other smokes from JR, they might be a tad wet. They were not. After I unwrapped them it was obvious thart these cigars had had some time on them. Nice tooth and the the bloom was mouth watering. I decided to go ahead and smoke a couple, one the first day and the second on the following day. The following applies to both cigars as they were consistently similar. They smelled very good and, after cutting, drew well. The EMS wrapper had a few larger veins than I like to see but they didn't pose too big a problem. I lip up and experienced a very mellow, almost sweet bouquet of tobacco smoke. It didn't take a lot of puffing to get a nice volume of it either. The ash held until about 2 1/2" when I got careless and bumped it on the table. I believe it probably had another inch or to of survivability had I been more careful. The burn was fairly even; not much deviation around the ring except for when I hit one of the veins. One runner was the result but it evened itself out within about 1/4 " I didn't touch up...just let it run its course and it did swell. About halfway through the sweetness was joined with the medium half of this mild-medium stick. I like a strong smoke but I was very happy with the flavors in this Mexican offering. If you get some and they haven't been stored, they will greatly benefit from some humidor time. Them boys is tasty!

"Nice, but takes a little getting used to"

Review Notes: I have smoked a couple of bundles of these. This cigar is well constructed and burns nicely. There is a flavor, not unpleasant, that is a little different from most other cigars that I have smoked. After getting used to that difference, I like this cigar. It improves with a little aging.
