"Positive and comforting"

Review Notes: A very dark but mottled looking wrapper felt dry to the touch and was circled by the nice yellow-orange band. The cuadrado press was pronounced and sharp, and the band slid right off over the rectangular head, easily clearing the well applied cap. The cigar felt light for its size, but the sides were firm and solid to the touch. It also had a nice pre light tingle and a taste of earth and apples. The smoke flowed easily from the crisp cut, delivering a medium light bodied experience that tasted of evergreen woodiness. Very pleasant flavor and a nice mix of spices filled out the taste. The medium gray ash was slightly flakey but did not drop until asked, leaving a crisp well formed cone every inch or so. The finish was meaty and left a smoky reminder with lovely velvety overtones. The cigar burned evenly and slowly, retaining its square shape and firm feel. I enjoyed this cigar on the front porch with the light casting a globe of luminescence which showcased the huge snowflakes that signaled the end of the storm that had lashed us for the past two days. The cigar was a warm counterpoint to the chill of the 34 degree air, and the flavor and aroma was that of a nice wood fire in the old kitchen stove. A hot cup of decaf was the perfect companion, especially with the generous shot of Irish whiskey that somehow found its way into the cup. Overall this was a good solid cigar with warm, inviting flavors and a nice blend of woody well aged tobacco. It was a welcome companion on a cold winter night, and the overall impression was very positive and comforting. Recommended.

Review Notes: Just found this one to be very boring. Started off great but then experienced a VERY uneven burn, very bland taste similar to a Quorum I had recently, very flaky ash.

"Half and half"

Review Notes: First half started bitterish and had a slight harshness, but very full and a tad complex. Ash kept falling off after every 1/2 inch or so, probably because the wrapper lacked oils. Second 1/2 revised into a smoother chocolate, toasty taste that was reminisent of a Padron! Draw was a little tight, so I had to squeeze the cap without cracking the wrapper.

"Wow--good smoke for cheap"

Review Notes: Big surprise on a cheap--a flier I took, not expecting much given I paid 2.50. Chocolaty smooth even flavor. Bit tight on the draw--hope it was just this one stick as I really couldn't get enough of the taste. Unusual mix of complex spice and smooth ch. Well worth it given the price.

Review Notes: This is a working man's Partagas, with a flavor all it's own. An outstanding smoke for the price. The only drawback to this stick is,an occasional tight draw and uneven burn. That aside, this one great maduro you can't go wrong !
