Review Notes: Oh- hoo-hoo!..look at the big shot with the Montecrisco! Well O.k. it is somewhat tasty. The Afrique is supposed to be a more full bodied, more flavorfull Montecristo and it is. But the Dominican Montecristos are really just mild, pretty cigars used as props by status minded guys who really don't lke to smoke cigars but wish to project a certain "big-shot" image. This cigar as all Montecristos is well made and attractive in appearance. It is medium bodied-strength at best however, somewhat sweet and pleasant. If you really crave true excellence in a Cameroon get yourself a Torrano 1916.

Review Notes: I have tried over 50 different cigars and this is the first and only cigar that has gained my devotion. It starts great and only gets better..a cigar that will make you very popular with your friends. Enjoy

Review Notes: I decided to give the Montecristo Afrique Jambo Jambo 5-cigar pack a try so I recently purchased it thinking it's a Montecristo, how could I go wrong? What a terrible assumption. This was the worst purchase and worst cigar I have smoked in years. Why? Because 3 out of the 5 were plugged, that's 60%! I only get to smoke once a week out of respect for my wife and when I do I don't want to worry about my cigar being plugged. I take one, cut it, plugged. I try to smoke it, but put it down cause I'm getting frustrated. I take another, cut it, same thing. I'm getting really mad now. I cut a third and this one is just tight, really tight, but I manage to get a third of the way through it. Three cigars literally into the compost bin. I have two more left and I don't know what to do with them. These cigars are so poor in construction, I'm not going to risk my money and time purchasing or smoking anymore of these.

Review Notes: A friend gave me a gift box of 444's. The box had a 4X44 in it. I smoked it and was immediately taken by the taste, aroma and finish (lasted the rest of the afternoon). Bought two 5 pack samplers from JR cigars of Jambo-Jambo, and I know I have some good ones. Well worth it, and my new favorite smoke.

Review Notes: I love this Afrique line. Tried the Peruvians, but like the Africans better. You have smoothness typical of a Monte, except you get these spikes of zingy flavor from the Cameroon. It is a real pleasure to the tastebuds and not boring by any means. This is an example of a cigar that is flavorful and yet still retains its balance. Cameroon wrapper is beautiful to behold. Burn was even and draw was good. Ash long and white...like all Montes. A real treat. I had the Uhurus and loved them, so I upgraded to the Jambo Jambo...same flavor, just more of it!
