Review Notes: ..and not just a lot of hype! I have smoked one yesterday, from a box directly imported from Cuba. Just one comment: it's a marvel. Maybe it's not the best cuban around, maybe some products from Padron are even better, but the #2 is a fully rounded up smoke, strong, flavourful, smooth. Comustion ring was perfect but at the very end, draw was a bit tight but pleasingly so. All in all a great smoke, and unlikely to deceive. Price is not an issue.

Review Notes: This is an outstanding cigar, don't take me wrong. It is one of the best Cuban cigars I've had yet. However, it is not one of the best ones I ever had. I'd rather spend the $$ on a 1964 Padron.

Review Notes: It seems years since I've had a Montecristo No. 2 with the flavors and construction that I'd come used to enjoying. I purchased 15 of these lovely shaped and shaded cigars last fall. After a little aging and with eager anticipation I sat down to enjoy a Monte No. 2. The flavors were dull, the burn uneven and wrapper was coming undone in places. Every one of the following seven Monte No. 2s I smoked over the next few months were similarly disappointing - leaving me thoroughly underwhelmed. I'm not sure what has happend to what I once enjoyed as a great cigar - I won't waste my money on these again.
