Review Notes: Just a great pyramid. Complex taste, full bodied. Always have some construction inconsistencies...some times very tough draw. If you get a good one, they are great, if not, its such a waste.

Review Notes: I have smoked #2's on and off and for the past year and a half it was off. Just got in a new box o4 and feel like my old friend has gotten his act together again. Those of you that felt betrayed in the past my wish to try these out again

Review Notes: This was a pretty good cigar but not a great cigar. I have smoked a few Cubans and this was probably the best, but take away the word "Cuban" and all you have is a pretty good cigar--nothing more. One can find a fair amount of cigars just as good and better--legally--and at a better price. As I sit smoking my Padron, I have to say, these are what I crave.

Review Notes: There is a common theme to most of these reviews. Allowing your cigars to sit in the humidor for one to two years will significantly improve their quality. The samples from my box of Monte #2's (box date Jun 03) prove this theory correct again. The first few I smoked from late '03 to early '04 were just okay. The two I have smoked since October '04 have been fabulous. Complexity of flavor, burn and draw have all improved noticeably. Do not get greedy, let them sit for at least eight months. You will not be disapointed if you have the patience required to stare, but not touch.
