Review Notes:
I don’t like sticks from the tube, but sometimes, when you feel like a smoke and there’s no specialist outlets you find the petit tubos behind many bars and general tobacconist counter. They tend to cost more than you want to pay, their rarely as good as say a Monty No4 but they a reasonable looking little stick, like most tubed cigars they have slight burn problems which need touching up from time to time. The aroma is very nice and the flavour are great to start, but seem to disappear after the first third. If you have to smoke tubed sticks I’d take RyJ’s or H Upmans over Montys. They have many of the same problems, but their cheaper and have far more interesting flavour and aromas.

Review Notes:
I was given 2 of these as a gift from my mother-in-law, she purchased them on vacation. I must say, both of the cigars were terrible. The first one had a uneven burn, tight draw, and problems staying lit. The flavor of the first one was poor at best. The second one had a tighter draw than the first stick, and mushroomed 1/4 of the way into it. The construction was bad, but on the flip side the flavor of the second cigar was great( when I could draw in smoke.) More than likely I just got a couple of bad sticks, but I still don't see the hype with a Cuban cigar. I'll take a good Dominican over these anytime.

Review Notes:
I had a friend bring me a few of these sticks from a trip to London. Was actually looking forward to this cigar since I recently had a Cuban #2 and it was outstanding. The smell was great, typical of Cuban cigars, it had an easy draw, gave out lots of smoke. The flavor, however, was at best average, pretty straighforward, not a complex cigar. Light cedar and spice taste. I rather spend the money on a Padron 64.

Review Notes:
Went to the gym, came home and ate breakfast, then sat by the pool with this little stick...ah the life of a teacher on summer vacation! Anyway, this cigar is nicely constructed and had an easy draw. It burned evenly all the way to the band. The flavor was strong on cedar to start, but eventually evened out to cedar and spice. A very enjoyable smoke for early in the day. This was a gift, so I have no idea of the actual cost. If they can be found for a reasonable price, I will surely purchase a box for my humidor.

Review Notes:
Hadn't had one of these in a while and was looking forward to them, they used to be fabulous. But now I've had a couple and am disappointed with the flavour; it was like a cheap Dutch imitation of the real thing. Of the two I've smoked recently, one came direct from Cuba, the other bought locally, same result with both. I'll give these another try and if it doesn't come up to standard, I'll stick with the wonderful Bolivar tubos for now.
