Review Notes: Well constructed, very nice draw and even burn. Attractive, if plain appearance. Flavor was fairly average. Mildly spicy, maybe a bit nutty. For this price I expected a lot more. Probably would not purchase again because it doesn't represent as good a value as many other more interesting cigars.

Review Notes: I've never been dissappointed with the dbl corona. Smooth, somewhat mild, yet complex. Nice burn, long lasting, an enjoyable experience after a fine meal and a glass of port.

Review Notes: I've smoked a few Montes and not found them to live up to the name or the hype. I am smoking this 'gar after breakfast and on a fresh palette to give it every benefit of the doubt. Very good looking blonde wrapper and the burn is top notch producing a delicate flaky ash that falls freely on your shirt. The first puff tasted like pine needles and lowered my expectations immediately. Fortunately the pine gradually fades after about 2 inches and it starts to taste like real tobacco. Cigar Mag says construction carries twice the weight of appearance and taste. I say baloney, this smoke is beautiful and very well made but the taste kills any high rating and your enjoyment. Domican tobacco has made great strides in recent years in both quality and taste. I suppose that's why there a gazillion Montes to choose from. Seems as though they introduce a new one every year. I guess it's a niche smoke, some actually like the flavors and some like the brand name. If I had paid $8 for this, I may have killed myself.

Review Notes: This stick is great for the amateur and seasoned smoker who likes delicate and subtle flavors. Ample smoke, cocoa, hazelnut and cream flavors consistently down to the nub - no excessive spiciness or harshness even at the end. My humi is a little wet, and I think that this helps round out the flavor of Montes because the few I have had stored at the mid sixties were just bland and one dimensional, whereas those which are wetter (above 70) taste much, much better (perhaps the oils are better preserved?). Construction is outstanding as with every Monte I have smoked.
