"Might need some aging"

Review Notes: Had one while sitting around a campfire w/some Makers Mark. Perhaps the tastes were masked slightly by the wood smoke, but I found this cigar to be a bit boring in flavor profile, even kinda bitter. Good construction, nice draw, consistent burn, decent buzz (although it made one of my smoking buddies sick.) Some humi time might help it improve. Okay for camping , but for the price I'd probably opt for others.

Review Notes: Monty this, Monty that, "you never tried a Monty??" Well, I finally got around to getting one and the thing has all the pleasure of watching paint peel. Sure, its built very well with no lumber and a near perfect wrapper (for $10 per stick it better be) but thats about it. I actually found the regular Astral with the Ecuador wrapper to be superior in flavor to this dull smoke. It reminds me very much of a regular Macanudo which falls into the category of "old man cigars" for me. This is advertised as have the same flavor profile as a Cuban. All I gotta say is I am now in no rush to try one out if thats the case. Monty's just aren't for me.

Review Notes: Gotta love these consistent bad boys! I usually pack one on a golf round and always hate to see it end. Well built. Burn well. Just right strength. Would smoke em much more often if they didn't cost so much!

"Hmm......."

Review Notes: Just smoked one that had 4 years age....this cigar does not noticeably benifit from short term aging. The prelight aroma was very appealing, with intense high quality milk chocolate, and the initial and 1st phase held true to that...not too complex, but I think that's what is appealing about this stick to some, but not me. There was a slight flavor build rounding the 2cnd phase, not much evolution as a whole though. The finnish was a let down, turned grassy and didn't taste good. Nicely constructed with a perfect even burn. Would never turn down a freebie, could be a good cigar on the river...is a light and mellow stick, a good initiation for begginers. I Generally smoke Lonsdales, and corona gordas....but I like the robusto better.

Review Notes: Very well constructed cigar. Had a very even burn the whole time. It was fairly mild with a strong cedar frame wth many sweet notes throughout. I enjoyed this with a good friend who doesn't smoke cigars much and he really liked as well. This was aged in my humidor for 6 months prior to smoking so I cannot comment on the initial experience. Recommended at the $6-8 pricetag.
